Well, yeah, if you run directly on top of a bird, it will fly away. This is not a bug.

I've not had any problems since I know if I'm on top of the bird it's going to fly away. The issue I've got with it is that having tier III you still stand up and scream albeit silently. So even though you'e not supposed tos cream you jump up and scream usually in full view of the doctor who also get a visual notification.

It's called a short description for the sake of brevity. You're not buying a car, there's no false advertisement. Besides, think about it - how would your calm spirit translate to "you can stomp all over animals and they won't react"?

ok dude whats your problem? every single thing i post your there complaining. it doesn't matter, the perk should tell you everything because if the killer is running spies from the shadows and it alerts them because my calm spirit didn't calm the birds (like it says it does 100% of the time) then whats the point of running the perk (other than when facing a doctor) if it falsely doesn't tell you everything it will do. so when i run next to a bird on a rock it shouldn't make them fly away. and if your talking about realism then please talk about it in a game that is fully realistic. in what world do you get pulled away by a entity and have perks to face against a killer where you get killed and are magically still alive and ready for the next game. so if perks can manipulate this Fantasy world then why not have a perk that actually does its job when it says 100% of a chance to not alert woodland creatures to actually not alert woodland creatures 100% of the time.

You're the one complaining. I'm trying to get you to think about the things you say and explain why you're wrong. The perk's description is arguably incomplete, but I think it's just common sense that you can't walk all over the crows and expect them to stand still.

its called a perk that manipulates a fantasy world to work for you if it says it wont alert woodland creatures 100% of the time than it should do that. using your logic i could say well searching a chest shouldn't take more than 2-3 seconds since you could just see the the item right there or i could say if im playing someone like David i could easily get myself off the hook but if im playing someone like Claudette i can't pull myself off the hook at all. and you saying "I'm trying to get you to think about the things you say and explain why you're wrong" is a opinion these are all opinions and suggestions you cant explain to me that im wrong unless you talked to the game creator or someone close to that who explained to you before me why im wrong. if BBQ said that it revealed the survivors position to you and it only showed them if they were more than 40 meters away wouldn't you ask why it was falsely advertised? most likely you would but it does tell you everything the perk does not the "just" of it. i am just saying if this was intended by the Devs then why not add the extra description after the "you do not alert woodland creatures 100% of the time if you are not running directly next to or over them)

Well, you are right in a way: it does NOT tell you that the perk does not work in this situation. But after you used it once and realised the creatures react, you could have adapted and just... NOT run over them, maybe?
Also, the main reason I pick it sometimes is the fact that it counters the doc- HARD!

Sheesh, breathe man. just don't step on the birds
1 -
It makes sense that STEPPING on the bird is going to make them fly away. You simply have a "calm spirit" therefore the birds are not afraid of you when you're near them. Just walk around them, its not that hard. "false advertisement" smh

again DBDS realism isnt the same as the real worlds realism so if the "entity" gives us a perk that says this then why doesnt it do it? all im asking is to see if this was intended or not and if it was the add the extra definition to the perk in the next patch which will take what? 5 minutes? like just add somewhere in there " if you are not running directly next to (when they are on rocks and i run next to them they are alerted) or over them (on the ground)
