Killers controlled by the player should be replaced by AI
Since I've started playing DbD I've noticed a common trend where the devs constantly buff the bottom line of killers and nerf the top tier survivors. This is a constant, time and time again. And it's rather frustrating. On one hand you have survivors that have taken the time to learn to play the game properly and utilize all resources at their disposal to ensure victory whereas killers just wanna M1, BBQ, and get 4Ks. Don't get me wrong, there are a few good killers, but they're mosty....bad? Yeah, bad.
Pyramid Head was kinda the tipping point for a lot of us as we saw the devs flat out give a killer the ability to tunnel without consequences. The devs have admitted it's looked down upon to do so, as they understand the power imbalance, but still created him anyway because they knew killers just aren't improving.
And we're at the point now where the devs had to add Undying into the game because killers can't figure out how to juggle their objectives. As if the constant spoonfeeding of insane buffs to make even the worst killers feel like they're decent wasn't enough. Now killers can just camp a gen and let ruin regress it even though survivors have cleansed 50 totems by that point. There's basically 0 consequences.
It's time for a change.
I propose that all killers change over to an AI-controlled interface. AI has proven to be far superior to humans and will solve a lot of the problems with the current state of the game. Different levels of AI can be implemented to provide all players across all ranks a smooth, fair experience in all of their matches. Just think about it: No more tunneling or camping as the AI can be programmed not to do so. No need to bring second chance perks so survivors can finally use the perks that they want to without having to worry about bad plays. And most of all: It'll finally be about skill and not about finding different, cheap ways to make the worst of the worst seem better.
However I do suggest that KYF still remain as is so that former killers can use the killers that they bought as I imagine it would be frustrating to do refunds.

Also... you don't seem to understand why Hex: Undying was added to the game. It was added because Hex Perks... on the whole, were way too risky to be actually useful. Especially since sometimes your Hex perk can show up in plain sight of a Survivor who just spawned in. That was even with the current suite of Hex protection perks that already existed (Thrill of the Hunt, Retribution, and Haunted Ground). So... they added another, better one. Did they overshoot? Maybe, maybe not. I'm not sure, but I think overall adding Undying was a good thing.

Yeah but they created dead zones that stretch for like 10 miles despite the fact that pallets are 1 of 2 things survivors use to get away from killers. I have faith in them.

I don't have 5 friends. The 3 people I enjoy playing with currently can't play and in 2 of the cases probably won't again. Sure, KYF.

You are downplaying the difficulty of playing Killer while suggeting the balance changes were unjustified. I understand it might seem that way for a new or more casual player. So the only possible conclusion is that you struggle with DBD in it´s current, more balanced state or just want EZ guaranteed wins like back then.
DBD on release was the most unbalanced game I´ve ever seen and the changes they made improved that a lot.

Nice idea. It would also solve another problem: Potato survivors. You could replace them with a AI as well, and you would have finally a balanced game (at least skillwise, but it would show unbalanced mechanics and perks for sure), and never be angry with your fellow survivors again.
On the downside, the game might not experience much more growth, and dbd streamers are reduced to commentors.

Survivor top line have been nerfed by reducing the amount of resources, letting windows get entity blocked, and making medium vaults because any angle fast vault was stupidly broken, and removing god windows / balancing the tiles
Why because most of this stuff was stupid broken to anyone who had more than 30-40 hours in the game and realized how much it could be abused
A sea of 20/30 filler pallets in the middle of bloodlodge
Killer shack and buildings with multiple windows that never got entity blocked making them easy infinites
Fast vaults that make absolutely no sense and make tiles so much more powerful
Reworking god windows which were mindless tiles to just hold w against a majority of killers
These changes were made because any person using logic and reasoning would realize how broken this things were and how it could make the game unplayable for the other side if used properly
And just because changes like these were made so that the other role could PLAY the game the other role should be made a bot. Genius

Removing the broken stuff is for the sake of game balance was the right move for the devs to make because if given enough time survivors would learn how to abuse the broken stuff to extremes where the game becomes unplayable for the other side.
Just because it hadn't become the biggest of problems didn't mean it was a problem

Survivors t-bag and clicky clicky troll the killer.
Killer determines the best and most effective way to achieve kills or deal with these annoying SoB's in to tunnel them into oblivion.
Survivors cry about being tunneled.
Camping and tunneling are direct adaptations and evolved from the playstyles of Survivors - who have gotten to toxic-levels of trolling and annoyance with their add-ons; left continually unchecked; and allowed to play the game extremely aggressively with zero fear of the killer.
Killers are tired of it and have stopped caring about the Devs frowning upon their "not letting Survivors play around" bullcrap; killers start effectively guaranteeing their kills instead of giving second chances.
Don't complain about the behavior of killers when it was the Survivors that ultimately brought it upon themselves by being trolls and annoyances - and the Devs for having such a backwards way of rewarding gameplay by effectively not completing your objective for as long as possible.

You know that AI is literally a bot program that can learn, adapt, and feel emotion? You confuse "computer program" with "AI." To disable learning and adaptability would just make it a basic bot.
Also, your idea is that "The Devs keep balancing both sides of the game, so lets get rid of the other side." Your post is literally you trying to get rid of a massive part of the player base, because the devs are doing their jobs and trying to balance the game.
