PTB Midchapter Feedback
Everything about this patch seems pretty good actually, but there are some perks that didn't quite get the buff they deserved.
For the People allows for a survivor to instantly bring another survivor up one health state at the cost of injuring themselves and being broken for 90 seconds. This broken status effect should be reduced to 60 or maybe even 45 seconds, as 90 seconds of being broken makes the survivor too vulnerable for simply healing another survivor quickly. Currently, the perk results in trades or double downs due to the absurd length of the broken duration.
Mindbreaker suffers from too many drawbacks for the planned buff to be viable, I would buff the perk to read something like this:
[While repairing Generators, Survivors are afflicted by the Exhausted Status Effect.
Any existing Exhaustion Status Effect timers are slowed by 50% while the Survivor is repairing a Generator. After ending the Repair action, the Survivor is afflicted by the Exhausted Status Effect for 5/10/15 second(s).]
These changes fix some of the largest drawbacks of Mindbreaker by making it more effective vs Survivors with exhaustion perks while leaving survivors without exhaustion perks unaffected. By removing the generator repair condition from the perk, we can make the perk more consistent within each match, but to balance this aspect, survivor exhaustion is no longer paused, the cooldowns are simply increased by 50% while working on a generator. Increasing the negligible 3 second exhaustion to a 15 second exhaustion, it is much harder to counter mindbreaker by leaving a generator early.
Cruel Limits getting a larger AoE is nice, but the perk has two problems.
1) Cruel limits rewards you for losing an objective. While the reward isn't worth a dime, I don't like perks that function this way [No One Escapes Death]
2) 30 Seconds for some window blocking isn't really worth a perk slot. Most of the time, when a generator is completed, the killer is far away from the gen chasing a survivor meaning you get no value from the perk.
I would rework cruel limits entirely. There is a plethora of ways to do it, but perhaps something like this could work:
Hex: Cruel Limits
While Hex: Cruel Limits is active, 1/2/3 Windows, Vault locations, or Pallets within 24 meters of an uncompleted Generator are blocked by the Entity.
The Hex effects persist as long as the related Hex Totem is standing.
(This could be OP, it was an idea I cobbled together in 5 minutes)
