Survivor struggling was cancelled at the moment of unhook, despite still tapping the space bar

Description of the issue: I tried to unhook a survivor who was still tapping away at his space bar, even while I attempted the unhook, but he was immediately sacrificed regardless.
Steps to reproduce this issue: Unclear. It only happened once.
How often does this occur: Unclear, see above.

It happens often when there's too much going on the server, it looks like a lag spike hit the server at that moment. It has happened to me and friends at different times and you can see the lag. PS4
