Tunneling isn't a "Strategy"
I've seen the arguments between those for and against tunnelling. Most of who agree with it are killer mains.
They say its not 'toxic' but a form of 'strategy' and 'skill'. Now I don't know what's clever and well played about hitting the same person over and over again, but that's just me lol.
I'm not totally against tunneling, ive seen killers try their best and get zero hooks, gen rushed and swf'd. All killers want at least a kill and if its endgame, there's no other way but to go after the one whose just been unhooked. It's up to the teammates to bodyblock and distract.
Tunnelling isn't strategy or skill, but merely a form of last resort for kills.
P.S My opinion!

Note this is just my opinion ,I do agree with you for the most part however I do think It is a strategy ,as you are attempting to target most often the weakest link of a team ,taking them out the game permanently increases your pressure whilst increasing the difficulty for the survivors.
Whether people like it or not it is the most effective strategy ,who is going to go for a healthy survivor when there is an injuried one ,a hook away from death?, being injured isnt even thing that stops players from just focusing on objectives it's more of an inconvenience at most .
Killers are playing optimally as possible but I do agree with you if the killer is out matched severely, tunneling is their only option in securing a kill otherwise they lose the game with zero kills.
End game?anything goes, camping in endgame does not exist as the killer have no other objective ,targetting the unhooked is the smart decision unless you have noed as its gonna be almost mpossible to down a healthy survivor ,unless you are a killer with insta down.
I agree with you for the most part, for those that say I'm a tunneler, no I just understand why people tunnel and the benefits of tunneling, yes it's bad for the person getting tunneled but it also gives the others a chance to slam gens and if the person getting tunneled can loop well, they can waste alot of the killers time, if anything I'm turning to survivor as it's much for relaxed .tunneling has is cons and pros.
Sorry for the essay

I can understand where your opinion comes from even if I completely disagree with it not being a 'strategy'.
With the way the emblem and pip system works; and everyone being overly concerned about rank and getting as much bloodpoints as possible for their match times, tunneling is often an extremely effective, if not one of the most effective strategies killers have to secure kills - it along with the dread "camping".
You see, if you tunnel someone down and can do so swiftly (downing them rapidly after they're unhooked instead of taking even longer on full chases), you can remove a player from the enemy team permanently and increase the difficulty and workload of the remaining Survivors - instead of letting them patch up their friend and keep working at full capacity.
It goes hand in hand with camping, which preys upon Survivors need to get those altruism points for unhooking due to the ranking/emblem system, and is often very effective at drawing Survivors off the generators (main goal) and sometimes either injuring multiple or getting another down (combined with tunneling you can get a new down and down your previous target at the same time and now you have two victims).
It is not 'toxic' - about on the same level as pallet-flashlight blinding and other Survivor tactics could be considered "toxic" to killers - but being on the receiving end of it can be a mood-killer because you're effectively removed from the game, some times early, and denied the chance at bloodpoints, and often times can barely manage a safety pip.

Sadly it is, not every person/killer is capable to handle good survivors.
You have to dirty you hands in order to get kills. I have played "fair" from time to time, but all you get is MAYBE1 kill.
I mean, if your goal aren't kills that's cool, good for you.

Tunneling can definitely be lame from the survivors side sometimes, but is actually a valid strategy used by skilled killers in order to snowball pressure against the survivors. The killer capitalizes on the survivors' mistake of unhooking when the killer is too close or the unhooked survivors ran into a bad part of the map, it is up to the killer to decide whether or not to slug and tunnel.

Killers arent allowed to kill to make his life easier

This is neither a suggestion or feedback, but I would say tunnelling exists as a strategy only after a chase with each survivor, and understanding which one will loop worst or throw pallets down fastest. THEN, tunneling that person becomes more worthwhile, unless you catch others out, just because they will leave their team in a bad spot/go down easiest. But doing it to the exclusion of other plays is not a strategy, it is a failure. The best way to look at it is questioning if you are FOCUSING, or TUNNELING.
