WHY IS EVERY SINGLE KILLER TUNNELING?!?!?
I've been playing a lot, and I mean a lot lately because I need to get everything in the current time thing. And literally, Every. Single. Game. I. Play. The. Killer. Tunnels. I don't even play toxic! I do gens and save people. I don't loop cause I don't know how, I also don't teabag. And yet....KILLERS STILL TUNNEL. The survivors I play with are usually trash so there should be absolutely no need for tunneling and yet Freddie's, Pigs, Michael's, Spirits, literally every single killer in this damn game alllllllllllll tunnel. It's BS. I don't understand.

Just killers get bad habit of being aggressive after playing with good or toxic survivors.
Me, myselft have it to, once i lose a get or two before a single hook i just get switched to sweaty mode and try to kill asap.
Blame game for busted balance between good and bad survivors.

I applaud you for not being a usual annoyance/toxic Survivor. The problem, as CookieBaws stated, is killers get fed up from match after match after match of toxic/annoying SWF groups constantly trolling them so they start tunneling - especially if they have any daily ritual that requires kills with a specific character.
A lot of it also has to do with not being able to know the actual skill level of your opponent because ranks are meangingless.

Tried playing nice today:
- Got rolled over by competent players, 2 hooks total, swapped targets and all that. At least they weren't toxic about it and it was Ormond so gens got slammed like mad. My enjoyment of the game nearly non, I had no chance at all.
- Got called a camper and to shut up about them using a purple key to get 2 people out, simply because the moment I had a 3 Generator stack, 1 generator left and all 4 survivors alive, I put the people I hooked smack next to one of the generators that I patrolled and clawed myself back into the game and killed 2 of them. I even had one slugged and one on the hook with like 20 seconds left on her timer and I decided to not just wait there for the death... yet still SHUT UP CAMPER when I dare make a comment about the key (Red rank survivor btw, while I am a now 8 Purple).
- Got tea-bagged at the gates after a 4 escape with full meta, 3 stack SWF survivor team with an end game DS and everything. My enjoyment in the game was pretty much zero.
- Got called a tunneller due to the team literally swarming the hook and me just downing the same person and killing them quickly, sorry but if you hand your team mate on a silver platter without BT or anything I ain't going to say no... yet it was me of course that was the filthy tunneller.
- Met a OoO SWF and got completely slammed and destroyed while I tried to focus on the saviors after hooks and all that.
The fact is that regardless of how you play, if you play nice and win... you get called all the bad things anyway. If you play nice and are losing, nobody cares whether the game was fun for you and they use all the perks, all the tricks and everything. Survivors frankly don't care about the killers enjoyment and frankly after a couple of games... most killers stop caring about that of the survivors. Tunneling and slugging when used at the correct moments in the game, at the correct situations and all that are just winning strategies. Execute the strategy wrong, then you will still lose on all categories, use it well and you are rewarded. Killers are suppose to focus on killing the survivors and they will do what is best for their gameplay.
I keep getting called names, even if I only use the 'toxic' tactics to try and win at the end of the match, 1 generator left or 0, but hell... still a filthy tunneling camping piece of #########. The survivors guide to killer is;
"Chase me around a bit, hook a couple of times so we can save each other and then go stand in the corner near a gen so I get my BP and throw the game"
I had 2 games that were both fun and the end-chat was enjoyable. In the one game I had 2 kills and the other I had 3 and 1 gen left. The first game above was also not bad from the survivors end, but Ormond versus a SWF is just not a good experience (more on the game then the survivors).
Frankly within my first week of owning the game I already learned that to enjoy the game as a killer, you just use anything you need to play your own game. Survivors do the damn same thing without consideration of your enjoyment, so why should we. This is the lesson I learned and I have played the game a grand total of 78.3 hours and counting. Tunneling, slugging, damn even late game face camping are all just tools in your tool box to try and win, have a good time yourself and if it hurts someone's feelings, tough luck. Sure if you are a master at the game, you might be able to play nice and also ensure a good time for yourself, but most killers aren't at that level. Playing 'nice' usually means, throw in the towel and let the 4 man win stupid!

You sort of answered your question in a way,
Bad survivor = easy target. easy target = easy kills. easy kills = easy wins. easy wins = easy bloodpoints.

It can't be every single killer tunneling. It is just impossible.
When I play survivor, I get tunneled once in 10 games.
When I play killer, I don't tunnel, but survivors sometimes blame me tunneling. I don't mind it.
I guess you don't really know what tunneling means. Tunneling is when killer focus on one single survivor until he die. Focus ignoring gens and another survivors. Sometimes it is your teammate's fault because he unhook you and dissapear in the fog left you injured. So when killer returns to the hook he only see you and only option he has is chase you. It is silly to expect Killer not chase you in this situation.
I think killer just chase you everytime he see you as he should and you mistakenly call him a tunneler. If you were healed it is not a tunneling. If you were repairing a gen it is not a tunneling. If you had time to do anything it is not a tunneling. It is usual chasing. Every single killer is chasing.
PS. Why you put it in feedback and suggestions? You not tested anything and you not suggest.

Honestly after having all gens done in sub 5 mins a few times you tend to get a bit desperate when playing honourably doesn’t get you close to a win, or any less toxicity.
Seeing gens pop when their aura is a tiny speck in the distance that feels like it takes longer to walk to than to complete; having gens popped right in your face because killers aren’t scary and the completed gen is worth more than 1 survivor hook state which they will escape from if you play honourably and you get insulted for if you don’t walk to the other side of the map and let them get a free save while those gens you’re walking towards get completed before you get close.
While I’m sure there will always be a few nasty players, I honestly believe if killers had some more time to chase and switch targets etc they would feel less pressured to resort to rushing to kill someone quickly to slow the game down so they can play.
If you have played both sides and experienced tunnelling, you empathise with how that person feels and it doesn’t feel great to be the person responsible for making someone else feel as crappy as you do when it happens to you, unless you’re someone who enjoys other people’s misery.
The other thing influencing it is the emblem system.
Killers are punished for staying near the hook, they are punished for letting survivors heal, and kills are worth much more than hook states.
I try and avoid healing under hooks as the killer is encouraged to return to the hook, stop the healing and slug or rehook.

If you get really unlucky or just get an extremely good team it can be more beneficial to camp/tunnel one survivor out of the game to slow down gens. For example, I have a Feng who is insane at looping on a non anti-loop killer. I hook her and see 2 survivors nearby trying to sneak to the hook. There are 3 gens left and one pops while they're near the hook telling me they probably have no gen progress outside of those 2. They clearly dont have BT as they arent in my face so I can safely camp her our of the game. At that point even if they run back to the gens towards the end of her hook phase they've taken a significant hit to gen progress.
Whereas if I let her get unhooked she'd run straight to a gen and I'd have 3, potentially 4 players on gens.
If shes dead I have 3 potentially 2, if I'm chasing.

Man this sucks. Are you playing on EU? I went from rank 1 to rank 4 last night because I faced so many Object teams, for some reason my internet died down every time for a minute or so.
1 -
I primarily play the Stealth kilers nowadays. If I see an Object I just instaquit. There's no way to play around it.
1 -
Agree. Same for me with stealth Killers. The prevalence of toxic Object teams is the sole reason I don´t play Trapper anymore.
1 -
Do you have ttv/twitch/yt in your username?
0 -
Definitely not every single killer
0 -
Yes, I am in the EU region. Though don't worry, you will keep meeting the try-hard teams at rank 4, I have been getting them ever since I hit rank 15 and just gets more frequent the higher I climb.... yet somehow I am supposed to just become 'good' and play 'nice' usually when I ask what should I have done differently in that situation the survivors go like: USE BETTER PERKS! yeah... because that grind is tiny and having all the perks you want is easy... even once was told to use my POP filthy camper, when I hooked and slugged 2 guys in the corner of the map, with 0 generators left...

Stealth Killers are the BEST at playing around OoO so I'm confused.
0 -
From my experience this depends. For one, on the Killer : GF can have a slight edge in loops against Object. Myers 16m TR is definately a hindrance as it becomes even easier to wallhack him.
For two on the Survivors skill. Good SwF get your approximate location with Object against undetectable. No one in chase? Well the Killer is in or behind the main building then, for example. So you can't get the jump on them if they aren't potatos.

Hrm. I play a LOT of Scratch Mirror Myers and I'm invisible to OoO 100% of the time. I slaughter people trying to use that Perk right and left. When playing the Pig, Wraith, or Ghostface... the Survivors also lose track of you. I just haven't had a very negative experience with OoO when using a Stealth Killer.
All that being said, a SWF using OoO (or multiples of it) against a non-Stealth Killer can abuse the heck out of it.

There you have it - scratched mirror. Myers best tool against it. I play "basic #########" myers most of the time and it sucks against object.
If they lose track of you despite knowing in which direction you are...well, kinda supports my claim of being dependant on the survivor skill.
I'm happy you get to slaughter them though.
Im my opinion Object SWF is the single strongest thing in the game on the Survivor side and there is little to no counterplay unless the Killer prepared for it beforehand, and even then...
To OP, sry for derailing your post. Apart from some maps this is the single balance issue I truly have a problem with and it's hard for me not to give in to the rage .

Micheal detected when he is out of tier 1 and ghostface is when shroud isnt active which is a lot of the time. Misqouted the post my B.

That's funny! I assume DC joke
If they run object just camp the hook. Its unlikely they run kindred and object and their teammates will do everything in their power for a save.

WHY IS EVERY SURVIVOR TRYING TO DO GENS?!?!
0 -
This is the biggest part of these threads: not understanding what tunneling actually is. No, as a Killer, I am not going to just let you run away if the person that unhooked you ran away from you and vanished so they wouldn't be chased. You are, at that point, my only 'viable' target so I will go for you. People seem to think that if they get downed twice without someone else being downed and hooked inbetween that it is Tunneling - and in most cases, it isn't.
In many it is though, and again that's for several different reasons but ultimately those reasons don't matter because it is a viable strategy to secure a kill and remove a player from your opposition so you can increase pressure on the other survivors (or remove a toxic af thorn in your side that insists on not doing any objectives and only trying to ######### with you with loops, pallets, clicky-clicky, or whatever else).
1 -
its an easy way to secure a win but also its usually the easiest way to apply pressure, sure downing the rescuer might be nice but hitting an injured person once is easier
0 -
Well I don't fully believe that statement.
But I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and believe you, that 'a lot of killers' are tunneling you.
Why?
-Well firstly: It's smart.
Games are over way too quick. Most killers can't keep up with the current gen speed. 12 hooks within matches that sometimes are over within 5-6 minutes is usually not possible.
Eliminating one survivor quickly ("tunneling") grants the killer more time to breathe, enjoy and win.
Just pick DS + Unbreakable. The combo ist busted and OP. It should help you against tunneling killers and ... just killers in generell, since the combo is like i said: Busted.
-Secondly: It often happens on accident.
Countless times I've gotten the unhook-notification, run back to the hook and find the injured/saved person but not the savior.
Sometimes the injured one is even running straight at me, while his rescuer is nowhere to be found.
I can't just ignore you at this point, especially since the clock is tickin' against me.
-Thirdly, like a lot of people allready mentioned: Most killers are fed up with survivors bs and want to 'pay back'.
Don't get me wrong, survivors are as toxic as killers are.
At the end of the day thery are the same players behind their computers. It's not like only nice people are allowed to play X and only toxic sh1tfaces are allowed to play Y.
But survivors have way more tools to express their toxicness (T-Bagging, Dragging the game out by waiting at the exit gates, Flickering, sandbagging and more) while killers aren't really able to do that.
I mean, Ghostface can t-bag, yes. But what else can you do? Nod at people? Hit them on the hook? Great, you are losing time while doing that and now just lost the game.
Meanwhile survivors can make use of these tools without having the system punishing them.
What else is there a killer can do? Camping? Slugging? Tunneling? By definition this isn't toxic behavior, since you are pushing your objective by using these tools. You might want to camp, slug and tunnel in certain situations, or else you won't win. It's lame, but sometimes it's the only thing you can do.
So there you are, eating up all the toxicness, without being able to 'be toxic back'.
And the fun thing is, as killer you'll face way more toxic behavior than a survivor.
Why? It's simple. It's just a numbers game. If we would say that 1 in 8 DbD players is toxic (no matter what they play) it would mean that as survivor you would face 7 perfectly fine killers, until you encounter 1 toxic killer (Whatever that means).
And even then there is a 75% chance that the killers insults wouldn't be aimed towards you. (Since he could just flame another player out of your team.)
As a killer however, 1 in 8 means that every second game you'll encounter someone trying to ruin your day - and it will allways be aimed against you.
Sometimes killer-players just snap. They get fed up with all the bullsh1t and just play as lame as possible in response ... and this is how you might also get this "I'll do everything to take the fun out of the survivors side, for example by tunneling" behavior.

A few days ago I was facing a 3 men SWF + 1 random.
I was playing Myers on Ormond. (Of course they sent me there).
I still managed to woop their behinds but I noticed that for whatever reason the survivors were sabotaging each other.
2 people were allready dead, 1 guy (the random solo Q player) was bleeding out on the ground and the last 1 was hiding somewhere.
I wasn't camping the slug. I was basically running circles arround the border of the map to find the last guy. But for whatever reason he didn't pick the guy up.
Before he bleed out, I started feeling bad for him. So I've picked him up and dropped him couple of times, so he would heal one state.
He even ran to a hook and wanted to give me the kill. But I didn't take it.
Instead I managed to find the other guy, killed him and granted the random Solo-Q player the hatch.
The survivor SWF group didn't take that well.
They said that he didn't deserve it. They wanted to let him die on purpose because he wasn't that good of a player.
They started insulting me and one guy (he wanted to look tough in front of the girl he was playing with) wanted me to tell him my adress so he can come arround and attack me.
Funny, isn't it? You are the killer. You are gifting one guy the hatch and it ends up with the survivors harassing you, even telling you that they'll kill you in real life.
(Of course I am not taking that seriously. But you get the idea.)
...
Btw, this was within red ranks. All of them were rank 1, I was rank 3'ish at this time.
The random solo-q-player that didn't perform well enough for that team was rank 14'ish and just got matched with them.
Even as survivor I've learned to despise most other survivors.

Tldr, I'm a killer main and don't tunnel.
