Social mode
Why isn't there a social mode with no ranks? For those of us that don't care about ranks and just want to play to have fun. Those that want to sweat it out for ranks can go to ranked mode.
I know there risks... You'll get rank 1 killers with rank 20 survivors and vice versa but hey that's the risk of social mode.

Because with MMR right now - ranked mode is "social mode" for a majority of players. Ranking up is meaningless for the most part and BHVR already has plans to phase it out completely for their new hidden MMR system that has been honed by tracking millions of matches and will fix 99.9% of all issues of matching solo, duo, trio survivors and then the appropriate killer for each 4 man SWF to create perfect balanced matches.
It will also make you a peanut butter and jelly sandwich if you are feeling a bit blue. The future is almost here, any minute now.

Why not do their new ranking system and have a social mode? Give options like a normal game or a crazy big team game with 2 killers and 8 survivors. Killers could then SWF too!!

This magical thing called "Kill Your Friends" has all your needs for messing around and not caring about ranks or going against serious players.
Don't need to make matchmaking somehow worse by hypothetically splitting the playerbase in half with another mode.

Because rank means nothing and even in unraked modes in other games there's still almost as many people tryharding.

Better idea: If you don't care about ranks...don't pay attention to ranks.
