Pig Rework Idea

When I first got the game, my immediate go-to was The Pig. Not because I knew anything about SAW. I think I just liked her weapon and being able to sneak around and ambush people just sounded like a good time. Fast forward two and a half years later and I haven't touched her in ages. BUT, I have encountered plenty of Pigs in my matches and noticed that their strength is lacking. Their power relies on RNG, has very lackluster and weak add-ons, and a chasing ability that works exclusively on short loops and oblivious Survivors. So, in my free time I've watched a few clips from SAW and suddenly got some ideas.

But first, let me clarify some things. I am not a Pig main, nor am I knowledgeable of SAW lore. I'm focusing solely on gameplay.

Now, let's begin.

Crouch and Ambush Changes

Not much to be done here. Her crouch will remain the exact same. Ambush, however, will be buffed significantly. First of all, the roar stinger that plays will sound once Ambush is fully charged. My reason is none other than how strange it is to spam the roar, and sometimes it plays too early for you to fully capitalize on your ambush.

Ambush hits will also apply a Deep Wound.

(These changes are up for debate. Deep Wounds combined with the changes I am about to explain below might conflict, so I understand if this is disagreeable.)

Reverse Bear Trap Changes

RBTs are Pig's main power and create massive pressure when placed on a Survivor's head... or so they're supposed to be. Right now, the traps are heavily constricted by a requirement dictated by the Survivors' actions (generator completion) and determined by RNG (randomly-selected key locations). If you're using one of your only four traps in the match, you want them to do their job and buy you some time and then some.

So here's my idea. Reverse Bear Traps are active immediately when placed on a Survivors' head. They have 180 seconds (3 minutes) to remove it, and the timer stops when the Survivor is dying, hooked, or being chased. If they fail to remove the trap in time, or they attempt to escape through an exit gate, they will die instantly.

Survivors have to search Jigsaw Boxes to get their trap off, which are highlighted with a white aura. Searching Jigsaw Boxes, you are faced with a series of skill checks like normal. Failing a skill check reduces your progress by 50%.

However, completing the action does not yield a key, but a scalpel. Once you obtain the scalpel, the aura of another Survivor is revealed to you in red. Your next objective is to go to that red Survivor and perform an interaction that has you use the scalpel to cut into the Survivor's flesh to find the key to your trap. This not only injures the Survivor, but it also reveals your location, so you want to finish fast. Once you finish the interaction, your trap is removed.

Each Survivor has a predetermined key location within another Survivor. So when the match begins, Jake will have Claudette's key, and Claudette will have Dwight's key. No Survivor can have two keys at once.

I know this sounds super bizarre, but the idea of having Survivors injure other Survivors for their own survival is just appealing to me. Call me masochistic but I would much more enjoy this than playing a luck of the draw and either getting completely screwed over as Survivor or as Killer.
