Sacrificial Ward - Too Rare To Be Viable
The title pretty much sums it up, I'd love to run sacrificial wards more often on both my killers & survivors because I think that the idea of picking a specific map that's heavily in your favor is not only unfair, but extremely boring and unfun.
They added this offering to combat this a bit but it's too rare to be considered viable. There's a lot of maps in the game and the likelihood of seeing a green map offering is so much higher than seeing a sacrificial ward in your bloodweb. I think that the offering definitely needs to be more common.
I've played killer tonight in red ranks and have ran into multiple SWF groups using map offerings to Ormand, Glendale constantly. I have barely any sacrificial wards to use to combat this due to their rarity.
Something needs to be done. Personally, I wish that map offerings as a whole were disabled because I find it extremely unhealthy to be able to choose which map you're going to, but it is what it is 😓

I think it's totally useless and another pollutant to the blood web. Just burn a map offering you don't mind and even if another is burned you have a 50 50 of it being your map. I rarely see map offerings burned... Why do I want to stockpile rare offerings (at 5k bp each) to burn JIC a map offering is burned? Might as well double the appearance of cypress mori's too if the point is to waste bp on useless offerings.
Is this even a serious thread? I hope it's a joke.

Cool opinions, bro. You rarely see map offerings burned? Then you're extremely lucky you aren't going up against the sweaty survivors and killers that I am.
I like the random nature of maps, I don't like map offerings, why would I waste a map offering to go somewhere on the off chance that a killer would have a map offering? That's completely dumb.

I wish the maps felt random - 90% of the time, I'm facing back-to-back variations of the same 'map' like 3 Autohavens, or Autohaven, forest, autohaven... never feels random to me lol.

Why spend the same bp on an offering that does nothing unless somebody else used an offering you don't like?? I guess wasting bp and adding more useless web offerings is super appealing. And I have at least one of these atrocities in every blood web... How many do you need?
I still kind of think this thread is fake....

Just shouldn't be in the game; it's worthless clutter. Does absolutely nothing because killers and survivors have no way of knowing if the other side will burn a map offering. And if its an SWF group and the killer burns the offering, it's pointless because the offering specifically fails in those instances.
Who in the world thought this was anything more than a bad idea?
Edit: and the one time I saw it used was when it first came out and Scott burned it. It was against a map offering (Ormond?) that he didn't want to go to. Then, he immediately said something along the lines of how he was going to get Midwich instead now. He was not proven wrong.

It's so dumb. I'm not spending a 5000bp offering in case a bad offering is used, wasting it otherwise, and at best cancel out an offering, meaning we still COULD random that map or any other bad one, when the alternative is that I can put in a 5000 offering for a good map and have at worst a 1 in 5 shot of going somewhere good.

just pointless useless offering that need to be removed because it just more crap we never use much if at all.

I can't imagine you seeing map offerings that often. I feel its usually about 1 every 4 games. Even then I don't care about it. They just decided they wanted to get wrecked on a specific map. Haddonfield is the only map offering that needs to be deleted imo. If a survivor plays that in red ranks they know exactly how terrible that map can be.
