Decisive Strike Feedback
The title is total clickbait. DS of course works. It works a little too well. The point of Decisive Strike is to give a survivor player a tool to prevent them from being tunneled and killed early in match. It's not fun for a survivor to just enter a game get tunneled and killed a few minutes in and not have a chance to earn blood points and earn pips towards ranking up. DS gives survivors a chance to avoid that.
Once the 5 gens are done DS has no point. The game is basically over and the survivor has made most of their points. End game is where DS become unfair to the killer. Just as it's not fun for a survivor to be tunneled early it's not fun for a killer to have the gens rushed and the survivors leave without getting a kill or getting any points for themselves. DS at the end of the game is as unfair to the killer as being tunneled is to a survivor in the early game.
Survivors mains before you shout this down, DS as it is now is just too strong. The same way Pop Goes The Weasel was too strong for killers and was retuned. If you don't like my fix for DS then how would you balance it. If you think DS is just fine the way it is and does not need to be changed you are in luck because I don't think the Devs will pay attention or fix it. But if you have a better idea on how to balance it let's hear it. Right now it doesn't seem balanced.

Ds don't need a Nerf. Just eat ds early If you don't want to deal with it later. And you said it alredy "After 5 gens...The game is basically over"
So? Does that mean the survivor don't deserve a escape and you can Tunnel and Camp him out of the game?
Oh and Pop needed a Nerf because the Killer had to much time for other things.
Ds ist in a pretty good spot now.

DS was never advertised as an anti tunneling perk, that's just something community assumed and kept repeating. With the rework they simply wanted to reduce the time DS can be used from unlimited.

Yes it was. Don't know who lied to you.
"serves the purpose to protect you from being tunneled/ farmed"
source: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/48381/design-decisive-strike#latest
Also if you're talking about what that one dev said, he said its not "purely" for tunneling. So it still is mostly for tunneling, just not only. But for all we know the other use case looks like being farmed if the first source is anything to go by. That quote being twisted is probably the biggest piece of misinformation floating around DBD right now.
"The idea of it being purely to stop tunneling came from the community."

DS gives a survivor too much time for other things as well. You can get off a hook, get healed, help complete a gen and still have time left to give a killer a good stabbing. DS is over tuned currently.
And yes in end game I don't think a survivor needs extra protection from being tunneled. The gens are done, all they and their teammates have to do is focus on getting out. They no longer need DS.

Wow... Just wow. Sounds more like you got many 4 escapes in a row and now you want to play unfair as possible to get your one kill. You could learn to kill a survivor before all gens are finished.

Actually I get more 4k's than 4 escapes. I usually tunnel more because of DS to get it out of the way earlier. I try harder now to make them waste their DS in the early game so they have nothing left when I kill them. If DS wasn't an issue in the end game I could take it easier on them.

DS is definitely not in a good spot.
It is way too powerful for survivors and there is no counter to it, and no slugging someone who has it is not a counter. Survivors know how powerful DS is because they know for one minute, that they can do whatever the hell they want. They can sit on a gen and look at you in the eyes because they know you are helpless in this situation. It lasts way to long for their own good and is sometimes run by every survivor. One person could bring DS or no one could but if anyone is an obsession, then the killer pretty much has to assume they have DS, if they guess wrong and pick up a survivor with DS they will most likely lose afterwards unless they are already winning.

Screw that. 100% of the games can't use it because every killer has more and especially ebony more. They drop every level. So easy to get. 1 hook game overs are bs

I get that I guess there is “no point” of it end game but killers are still able to camp and tunnel end game so I don’t think this would work at all.

Ebony mori's are way too common. I never use them myself but I always have more of those than the green ones. I can see more killers using them though because of DS.

60 seconds is way too long. I just try to tunnel survivors harder earlier in the game and force them to use it. The sooner they use it up the better.

I'd say, DS should deactivate if you touch a gen, hide in a locker, or enter the exit gates.
This'll prevent cocky survivors from doing gens and getting in lockers, and it'll stop cheap decisive escapes.

Not bad suggestions but DS needs to be tuned somehow.
