Remove DC penalties

I basically can not play if I am having internet or PC issues. As I end up with 30 minute timers for things out of my control. I would much rather be penalized 1k bloodpoints if I was to actually DC.

the DC penalties aren't meant for people like yourself. it sucks to get hit by them. but you just have to let it go. They're meant to stop people form DCing by choice. they're not accurate enough to tell the difference. It's not the games fault that your internet drops. It's not yours either but you understand why they're there. so think of that.

So you have internet issues and you want to get into next game with same issues over and over? What a good reason to remove dc penalty!

The world doesn't revolve around you. If you're having internet issues, that's your problem, not the Dev's. Just don't play if you know you're disconnecting. You're ruining other people's games too.

You probably don't care about that, though...

If you are having internet and/or PC issues, then solve those before trying to get into an online multiplayer game.

Yeah, so, not only are YOUR matches ruined by your internet dropping out, but everyone else's games is too.

Just because you aren't the one hitting [LEAVE MATCH], you aren't absolved of any wrongdoings.

Salty players across all online multiplayer are also notorious for yanking out Ethernet cables to sever connections, simulating an internet drop-out. There is no way to differentiate the two, so both are punished.

Yea DC penalties dont do anything, now people are back to dying on hook instead... crazy. Its like this has already been done and tested before.

The other players in your game dont care that much if you DCed because you are salty because you got downed as Survivor or the Survivors you go against did a Gen or if yóu DC because you crashed out.

If you have a bad internet connection or PC and have regular issues, you should not be playing Onlinegames in the first place IMO until you fix your issue.

Let alone that this would be an invite for players to just unplug their internet instead of going over "Leave Match" to DC.

    People doing this:

To their ethernet cables are the reason you're punished for your Internet being faulty. Restart the router or something idk, that works for me.

Let me be polite and sympathetic. I'm sorry you are having internet issues. Might I suggest that you should NOT be playing until said issues are resolved? By insisting on starting matches when you know you are likely to drop out of them, you are being very inconsiderate to the people whose time you are wasting. If you are having problems, wait until they are fixed.

I could not agree more. Sorry about the internet issue but how is that my fault or my team's fault or better yet my responsibility? I think I could speak for most by saying that I would rather have a beginner player on my survivor team than someone that will lag or DC during a match. Even for the killer that may be going for their "adept" achievements suffers from your un-reliability. Any DC takes away from the experience of all players.

Having poor internet service or quality may be beyond your control due to geography or income. But why is that every other player's burden? Poor connection is not a disability that entitles someone to the same quality of online activities. While you might not have control over your situation we as the other players have ABSOLUTELY no control over your situation and life. By having a penalty system, we are attempting to take some control of what you and others cannot or are unwilling to improve.

I appreciate the comments and honestly being polite about it. the random spikes of my internet are not consistent and scattered across maybe 6 hours. For the most part it was usually pretty good ping being < 100. But at night I just decided to stop after the last back at home page due to some error. Ended up expressing my frustration on a forum(not the best idea). Just figured perhaps there were other options then just a timeout like offer up some BP in exchange for the time. But thank you for your time. Have a nice evening.

I get the frustration of Dcing issues but if your internet is being like that I'd just not play for a while till it's sorted or maybe try another online game that won't have penalties for it. I had an error this evening and got a penalty for it however it was not due to internet mine was a console issue. I agree with the penalty due to rage quitters who can spoil the game for others.
