some ideas
Just a few ideas. Not sure if anyone else has thought of these already. These may not be great but have been on my mind for a while.
Score- I watched youtube video a while back and the guy was talking about "how to fix" DBD. Basically it talked about the psychology of players seeing a score board. The idea would be that we could have 4 icons (possibly removed in options menu) the icons would represent the four scoring types; altruism, boldness, brutality, etc. Icons would change color to represent their condition. The icons would blink upon a corresponding action; positive or negative.
Hide totems- how about an option for the killer to hide their totems? It could use the same mechanic as trapper and traps. Maybe killer starts with all active totems in their possession and hides them as they see fit. Or the match starts with all totems in place and the killer can pick up their totems and hide to their liking; i.e. hide "Ruin" after a survivor starts to work on it or place "Haunted Ground" in a more obvious location.
Void- Kind of playing off of the scoring idea from above, how about a exit gate/hatch "void" area. The void would be the area would be the area outside of the exit gates and within the open hatch. The void would slow down survivor and maybe the killer. The amount that they would be slowed is a percentage based off their match score. A survivor that did not contribute to the team would have a harder time leaving the match. Maybe an audio/visual cue to the killer based off score? 3D killer- How about another killer that can move in the third dimension? We have the Nurse already but someone that can jump or walk on walls?

How about a "stock" game mode? Killers and survivors would ONLY be able to use their own unique perks or perks that are always available; (Spine Chill, Kindred, NOED are available) no teachable perks. No ad-ons, only passive offerings; i.e. no mori, map offerings, chest, hook, only BP offerings. Rank is not effected or a factor in matchmaking.

different match types would definately lend an additional level to the game.
