update to flowers?

I love having the flowers back in all their creepy, squelchy glory, and I'm not totally down on the fact that some of the costumes are now available for shards, so I could slowly save up for them rather than being available for gameplay rewards only part of the year.

Still, I think the flowers feeling a bit more like set decoration takes a little bit out of the event. There was something really satisfying about trying to fill up vials (or collect enough moonlight in the New Years event.) I'm not trying to say 'I don't care anymore' but it did feel different when there was a direct holiday challenge/reward system. It feels a bit more abstract and less engaging. It doesn't feel like there's a big pop of motivation to fill up those vials, to try and fill it up JUST enough to keep most of your riches when you escape.

Given that the devs said that they were going to back off of gameplay embellishments so they could focus on QOL and bug fixes as quickly as they could, I understand why maybe some of the fancier systems are missing to have everything running as smoothly as possible. I love the horrible gooshy fleshflowers with all my heart, lol, and the costumes are great. But my 2 cents is that the risk/reward and creeping progress on screen was a big part of the event features' appeal and as it stands now flower interaction melts a bit into the background of the archive. Maybe we could get some of that immediacy back next year if time and manpower allows.

Hope everyone's doing well in these whacky times
