It's time for a Quality of Life dedicated chapter
Been playing the game on console (Ps4) for about 3-4 years now. The game has grown significantly, and the new changes have been somewhat well received. New killers, new perks, new survivors. All of that is great - but, we can't enjoy any of these things if you don't optimize the game to be playable.
This new update has made it almost unplayable to even do proper chases as killer or survivor. My character jumps around screen due to the massive drop in frame rate from this graphics update.
We all want Behaviour Interactive to provide these updates, we all want new things to be brought to the game, but don't forget that you also need to maintain the health of the game by making it playable. I feel as if the team is waiting on the next gen consoles to help remediate the issue of console performance. Even PC players with above average builds are experiencing frame rate drops/drops in performance.
Something concerning was mentioned on a dev stream Q&A, and this exact recommendation was flat out shut down because something was said along the lines of "We have enough people". And I cant recall word for word whether these string of words were exact, but something else was said about how the bugs are dealt with. How the team focuses on bugs, without ever even looking into the newest patch coming out soon. So while the dev team is working on fixing issues from previous patches, new bugs that are fully known to be present, are being ignored and released live. If a new build is released with old bugs... and the old bugs are fixed, there will be a chance of new bugs to become present... It's a never ending cycle with this method of handling the games health.
There are bugs still in this game that have been present since the switch to the new engine. It feels as if bugs are not even fixed or dealt with when mentioned on the PTB. What's the point of pushing out a PTB version, if you aren't even going to deal with the bugs that are associated with that build. Then once it goes live, the bugs just get slapped into the long list of bugs that need to be remedied.
One of the fog whisperers (will not mention their name) even said on stream, that they reached out to report the bugs, and nothing was done about them.
We need a response regarding this problem. We need answers as to what you plan on doing for console optimization, and we need a time. None of this "We will get to it" - I get that this is your game, but for your team to be receiving the same complaints over and over again with each patch - shows that you are ignoring the issue. And if you are not ignoring it, communicate with your player base.
I love this game, but whoever is in charge of handling the release of these patches needs to step back and take a look at the bigger picture. This whole event feels like a cash grab, and I get games need to make money - but this isnt even an event. Pumpkins were just plastered here and there - and instead of a treat, we got a trick of many bugs.

QoL would be much appreciated. It was a real shame that the devs basically ignored the point of the question and basically said, "No, thank you. We're good."
