Borrowed Time Exploit

Options

I know this may not be an official "bug" but it certainly is an exploit, a heavily abused exploit to the point of cheating.

Borrowed time "blocking" or "BT blocking" is out of control. the perk that was designed to stop killers from tunneling is being used to prevent killers from going after other survivors. Borrowed time used to protect both the player being unhooked and the player doing the unhooking but the devs changed this because it was extremely overpowered. Now, the perk in it's current state is not much different and it can be used over and over again by survivor groups who repeatedly dive after hooks with no consequence or recourse for the killer; just free escapes.

Proposed changes:

1) Make borrowed time single use only;

2) Make it so when a survivor take a "protection hit" while under the effect of endurance, they are put into the dying state.

either of these changes will help somewhat balance BT, but as it stands the endurance effect by itself can be very easily abused, and is abused frequently at higher ranks. BT blocking is an exploit that not only allows for free escapes but it synergizes with perks that reward players for taking protection hits, not only is it a free escape but it's also free stacks again with no consequence to the survivor or recourse for the killer. the point of borrowed time is to punish killers for tunneling and reward survivors who are willing to make the trade but that is not how it is used. Although not formally a "bug" it is a clear and popularly abused exploit that was not intended by the perk.

As this is not a bug and is the way the perk is designed, if you have feedback or a suggestion on how you would like to see the perk working, please post in the Feedback & Suggestions Sub Forum. Thank you.
