Can’t play with friends and can’t turn off cross play

I’m playing Dead by daylight on PS4 and I’m really getting close to uninstalling this game. I can’t turn off cross play and every time I want to play with friends it brings up unable to join party message. This is the fourth time I have ran into this issue. Please fix it as no other platform runs into this issue. It seems like other PS4 users have ran into these problems as well and quite frankly fed up with every update ruining fun.
