When do you think cross-progression will come to consoles?

I just wanted to know an estimate on when you think cross progression is coming to dbd. I've been debating wether i should get an ps5 or series x so I've been wondering.

There was a thread about this just yesterday. To sum it up, there's no guarantee there will ever be cross-progression between PlayStation/Xbox and PC.
