Balance by Rank?
What would balance by rank be like?
Imagine if you will, rank 20 the game is as it is. As you go up the ladder, the Entity begins to push both sides harder. Gens might take 5 to 10 more seconds to complete for example at Red ranks. Killers are brutally punished for hook proximity, hooks stay sabotaged much longer. Or maybe add various conditions for each side that must be met but only at Red ranks.
Why would we want this?
To appropriatley add challenge. To help balance the game for various skill levels.
The better you do shouldnt the fog challenge you more?
To make it all worth while add big BP boosts for each rank. Accumalative ones. Add cool skins or charms to reward those who play at various different levels. Maybe award more iri shards.
The whole idea is to add challenge appropriate to all ranks and to have a balanced as possible experience for all ranks.
Derankers and smurfs will still happen here and there but there really isnt much to be done about it.
But for something like this to work the core system of matchmaking would have to be expanded and improved upon.

I think this would be a great addition. Most of your examples are decent (with the exception of sabatoge, that feature would be abused to the point that if a killer can’t reach the basement, he can’t hook anyone at top level play).
Would certainly spice things up a bit. We need SOMETHING to try to keep the game alive besides just new characters.

Sabotage was merely an example but really was thinking about each rank level being treated like a New Game+ mechanic. More challenges but more rewards.
