Some Killer Perk Idea Changes for Weak and/or outdated Perks
Zanshin Tactics
- Remove the Cooldown or decrease it.
Unrelenting
- Add: Reduce bloodlust loss from getting hit by pallets or Breaking pallets by 50%.
**Note:**Is currently only viable on killers that have movement abilities that incentivise trying to attack and possibly miss at the end. (nurse, spirit, and maybe Blight.) Even then this perk is kind of niche for them. So the change idea I came up with would make it much more viable on other more traditional chase based killers.
Bloodhound
- Add: Gain Bloodlust 15/20/25% faster while chasing an injured survivor.
- Make the duration increase of blood always 4 seconds.
Territorial Imperative
- Make a separate cooldown for each survivor instead of 1 cooldown for all survivors.
- and/or increase the duration of the aura reveal.
Spies from the Shadows
- Increase activation range
- and/Or Make Crows not trigger off of the killer.
- and/ Or Reveal the aura of the survivor instead of the crow for a short duration (would fix the awkwardness of the boat that auto activates crows in the swamp.)
Predator
- Add: Scratch marks are considerably brighter.
Note: Predators make tracking harder as scratch marks are less likely to spawn on walls and trees and sometimes too tight on the ground to see through grass. Making them brighter would make it easier to see through grass.
Monstrous Shrine
- Gain 2% extra out of chase (and not carrying a survivor.) movespeed for each survivor on a Basement Hook.
- Or Gain 10% out of chase move speed after hooking a survivor in the basement.for 10 seconds.
- Or gives a decreased effect on non-basement hooks.
Furtive Chase:
- Killing the obsession does not remove stacks.
- or The terror radius reduction applies while out of a chase (probably at half the amount.)
Dying Light:
- Does not lose reduction from the obsession dying.(maybe stops you from gaining new stacks instead.) (Usually killers get around this with obsession changing perks or Decisive strike but it seems
Note: With the inability to gain stacks from the Obsession you are already incentivised to kill the obsession.so getting the perk to completely deactivate when doing so is kind of overkill.
- Or maybe decrease the heal speed bonus for the obsession for each stack.
Deerstalker
- Add: Decrease self heal cap of downed survivors by 15%.
Blood Warden
- Add: Gain a Notification when exit gates reaches 90/80/70% progression.
- Or Add: For each 10% progress of an unopened exit gate not being opened, see the aura of survivors within 2 meters of it.
Note: Blood warden used to be viable a long time ago before the changes to the hatch and the end game collapse in patch 2.7. Before then survivors would open the exit gate preemptively while waiting for everyone to be able to safely escape as the only incentive to not open them was Blood Warden (a fairly niche yet usable perk.). Mow survivors will 99% exit gates until everyone can escape or unless they are being chased which prevents you from using Blood Warden. The proposed buff doesn’t fix the issue, but at least makes the perk more viable against said counters.
Remember Me:
- The time increase also affects the obsession. (if too strong could be half as effective.)
- and/Or could increase the max number of seconds. (This would incentive letting the obsession live longer/ letting them get healed to get more stacks instead of camping them to death after getting a decent amount of stacks.)
- Or could let not basic hits also stack it.
Notes: It is weird that a perk like dying light was reworked because it incentivised just camping the obsession to death, but remember me does the same thing (stacking off of basic hitting the obsession and not affecting the obsession incentivising killing them). Remember Me was also viable before patch 2.7 though it was severely nerfed due to the fear of it making escape impossible for the last survivor with the ability to have the survivor being able to close the hatch.
Overwhelming Presence
- Add: Decrease action speed of survivors not using items in your terror radius by 10% (would not affect self heal of downed survivors).
- Or could Add: Survivors in your terror radius recover from Status Effects 25% slower.
Notes: Change would incentivise using items in your terror radius and make it more viable when playing against survivors with items other than flashlight. (though the new lightborn is a much better counter to flashlights.)
Unnerving Presence (Rework)
- Add: Applies old ruins to survivors repairing in your terror radius. (maybe not the same regression amount though.)
- Not as hard of a skill check zone for skill checks in terror radius.
Note: Unnerving presence is a weak perk for high ranks and a bit of an oppressive perk for lower ranks. As such I propose making it more constantly impactful by making it do something against skilled survivors and less impactful against newer survivors.
Insidious (rework)
- Gain Undetectable for 15 seconds after hooking a survivor. Deactivate this perk when the survivor is unhooked. Cooldown of 60/50/40 seconds.
(Hex:) The Third Seal (Rework)
- Remove being a Hex perk.
- Give blindness on basic hit for 30/40/60 seconds instead of permanent.
Note: I heard that the devs say they want to keep all of the Hags teachables being hex perks, but I still wanted to suggest this idea.

Possibly Viable perk ideas if they added new perks or buffed perks with similar mechanics:
Beast of Prey (if they added a perk that speeds up gaining bloodlust or reduces bloodlust lost then this perk may be playable.)
Distressing (bigger terror radius would be viable if the build around it was actually useful.)
Iron Grasp (just a worse agitation though is used in meme build of Agitation, it, and Mad Grit. Might be more viable if there was more point in having a basement build or if sabotaging was more popular)
Iron Maidan (may be viable if there was more incentive for survivors to enter lockers.)
