Matchmaking.
I'm a rank 15 killer slowly starting to learn this game. However the matchmaking is making 90% of my games against swf rank 1-4 how in the hell are you as a developer okay with stuff like this? How can you allow this to happen? Why would a new player face rank 1 surviviors? A change is needed desperately. New players absolutely have no reason to play because the matchmaking will put them in an unfair predicament. How do you expect anyone to learn the game when you make unfair matches like this? How is it possible that after 4 years this game still has this kind of unfair matchmaking after you receive a ton of complaints? I'm starting to feel like as a developer you don't set the right priorities. 4 years it has been like this. When are you planing on actually doing something about it? It's getting to a point where I have absolutely no desire to play this game again. And new players will never have a good time when stuff stays like this. I'm pretty sure you have the resources. Either way I'm starting to get fed up with stuff like that and I'm not afraid to speak. Accept critisim and improve as a developer it's that simple.

Welcome to DBD 😕. Matchmaking has been screwed up for a long time, and the community has begged for years for better matchmaking and a practice mode. You'll only get better playing against actual people, but at least a practice mode would help new players like yourself learn the ropes.
The developers did state that the MMR is a priority, so hopefully it will be activated soon. It should help you find better matches.

Unfortunately these devs couldn’t program a sundial to operate correctly. Matchmaking has been broken for as long as I can remember. The pitiful state the game gets pit in after ever single patch leaves me with zero confidence bhvr will ever have a functional MMR.
just gotta bite the bullet like we all did and play the matches the way they are. It’s terrible to have to say it, but it’s just the way bhvr does things.
