Insidious shouldn't work within 20 meters of a hook with a survivor on it

This would negate people who camp hook with leatherface and encourage killers to be creative with the perk

    I can't believe I'm saying this but I agree with @yeet, the perk is fine and if you think they're camping you punish them by doing gens.

    Also making the same post 20 minutes apart because you didn't get the responses(s) you like doesn't make it any better.

    Honestly, they should just rework it. It's already pretty obvious it's in a match.

    "Is the killer Leatherface?" Yes.
    Optional: "Did someone get hooked in the basement?" Yes.
    "Has Leatherface been spotted anywhere else after a hook?" No.

    Insidious outed. Rush generators.

    This topic came up before and it is … erm … not so smart?
    Because that is the basically it's core function.
    How about survivor "get creative" with their perks… oh wait they still use SC,SB,DS … very creative.

    The problem with Insidious is that any "creative" use of it is good for memes only, but is not effective. The only (sometimes) useful use is to camp, but even then it's very easy to counter.
    If anything, it could receive some sort of buff like making the heartbeat change slowly or suppressing it for x seconds after moving, so it could be used more for mindgames.

    And Decisive Strike should only work after the Killer has hooked you. That's what this post sounds like.

    Insidious is a perk used to bolster a playstyle, a playstyle you don't like. This playstyle has weaknesses, specifically a perk called Kindred. Run it, let your teammates see that camper, and now you are making them waste time.

    In a serious game as killer; is it ever a good idea to stand idle for anything other than defense of a gen or hook? Like most killer perks it is very situational and the killer has to commit for the sake of time management.

    That would entirely defeat the purpose of the perk. It's rarely used anyway.

    If a wild claudette is in her natural habitat, you can leave a gen and stay behind a rock for a few seconds.  

    Kinda useless perk though, but watch EVERYONE reports to leatherfaces basement to get visual on insidious.

    I've only experienced it once in a lifetime that a killer made an interesting use of the perk besides camping or meming around. And that was a LF, who chased me away from the center gen of Crotus Pen.
    He made it appear like he abandoned the chase, I wen back to the gen and suddenly he was there. I didn't had SB ready, so I ended up on hook.
    But that was quite situational. It's really worth to look at this perk, because it's not that good. Sometimes useful for camping, but event hen countered quite easy.
    It would be fun, if it would allow you to turn off your terror radius outside of a chase for a few seconds with a bigger cooldown. But that would kinda make it a better version of Tinkerer. So I don't know.

    there is exactly one situation where you want to use insidious, and thats when your camping.
    like, its already a trash perk, so why even bother nerfing it?
