What's the deal with no brightness setting?

This is the only game I own that doesn't allow you to change the ingame brightness. Why is that? Does it give you an unfair advantage?

These maps seem to be getting darker with each update. I've lost a bunch of chases because I can barely see in some areas. The only saving grace is that I play doctor alot so finding people doesn't take forever. I'm on console so my only option is to turn up the brighness on my tv. It's either that or start using bloodhound on other killers.

It really sucks, but as you said, it's because the devs think It gives you an unfair advantage over other people.

Even tho third party voice chats give way more advantage that being able to change your brightness lvls... Ahhh the hypocrisy... We all know where the money comes from.

Dont get me wrong, I dont care about voice chats, but I'd like to be able to change my brightness lvls. Till that's a thing, I have my monitor on max brightness and full gamma as well.

I agree, they need to fix this. Balance clearly doesn't matter to the devs and they're always talking about how it's not meant to be a tournament level competitive game anyway... so what's the harm in letting players see what's going on? At least you can change the settings on a TV or monitor, my laptop screen is at it's maximum brightness and the game is impossible to play if I get any of the new maps now. It's not spooky, it doesn't add anything to the atmosphere, it just makes me constantly regret the money I've spent on the game over the years.

They should be adding accessibility features to make sure everyone can enjoy the game, not taking them away.
