DC penalty timer should only apply to survivors.
If a survivor leaves, what happens?
The entire team is down 1 player which does a quarter of the job for the killer.
What if a killer leaves?
The entire game ends. Everyone queues up for another match.
A survivor weakening their team should be punished for what they did, that's obvious. But a killer might just leave because the game is obviously lost or a survivor group just bullies them. When they feel like the game is going nowhere, they should absolutely be able to just quit and receive no rewards as it is right now. The killer is not weakening anyone or taking anything away. Everyone can just get the rewards they managed to get plus a quitter bonus and just queue up for another match.
P.S: If you play a survivor and DC, you won't be able to play survivor or killer for the duration of the timer. Only if you DC as a killer would you be allowed into the game normally.

I'm all for this because sometime the killer it done and it don't hurt the survivors I think some survivors try get the killer to DC by BMing him/her for the LOL but it make the DC penalty more pointless then it already is because survivors already kill them self's on hook when they want out.
killers should be able to kill them self when they done.

So......you want to not only condone but also reward killers for DCing when they are losing.
But we seem to frown upon survivors for suicideing on hook.
Simply put, if you ready up to play, if you agree to the challenge, then as I have said before, accept one and damn well present one!

And how the heck is a killer rewarded? The killer gains nothing on a DC.
The survivors have the option to quit a game early if they want to do so. Suicide on a hook. Sure it's a dick move but that's done to avoid this exact penalty. And it's in the game already so survivors are free to do it all they want and queue up for another game immediately. A killer has to suffer through the entire game. They can't just up and open the gate and just leave the trial through some in game means. And that's what this is fixing.

No. When a player DCs, they are ruining the trial for everyone else, regardless of which side they're playing.

Don't try to make it equivalent.
When a killer leaves, you can just requeue immediately.
When a survivor leaves, you have to go through the rest of the game with the hinderence of fewer survivors on your team.

I'll say it again, if you decide to play the game, if you ready up, then accept the challenge and present one.
Don't chicken ######### out because suddenly you are losing.

Don't try to pretend it's not equivalent.
When a killer leaves, I just wasted my time in the queue because the trial was ruined. When a survivor leaves, I just wasted my time in the queue because the trial was ruined. The result is the same.

"The killer is not weakening anyone or taking anything away."
The Killer is taking away my game I have queued up for. And I dont care about the reason, if they think they lost or if they feel bullied, they might DC, but will at least receive a penalty. Last time I saw a Killer DCing was when he got slammed by a Pallet while carrying a Survivor. Which is his own fault.
And well, to use your logic - if another Survivor DCs I can at least play the game and get some points (not even a small amount, if the Killer is playing chill at this point), even tho the game is most likely lost at this point. If the Killer DCs, I get the BPs I got (which is most likely not a huge amount), a small Quitter Bonus and thats it.
