End game suggestions

EGC should start when generators are done

Currently, once endgame begins, there is absolutely no pressure on the survivors. Teams often 99 gates in order to completely avoid any kind of pressure, especially if they are healthy and then mosey on back into the trial for as long as they want. The only thing a killer can do to begin EGC is by opening the gate, through which any healthy survivor can just walk on through so it makes no sense to even do it.

Gate lever should go down to 0 immediately or regress very quickly

Survivors often 99 gates to avoid starting EGC and so they all have all the time in the world to heal up to full, unhook, bodyblock and save their friends because the killer is powerless to stop it. EGC starts once an exit is open, through which they can immediately exit. From that point on, they have 2 - 4 minutes. The survivors could potentially open the gates between 24 to 48 times with no regression or penalty for avoiding EGC by 99ing gates. Spending 20 seconds on a gate isn't at all long and any close range killer has no chance of even getting from one to the other in time if they're anything but practically next to each other.

Killer should be able to close gates

Opening the gate is absolute nonsense and there is no good reason for the killer to do so. The killer should instead, be able to close the gate with the same interaction as opening it, but while open to close the gate and killing any survivors that are in the gate area and not outside of the trial. If someone gets unhooked by a healthy friend, even if the killer chases them, the healthy person will body block the killer and the killer literally can't do a thing in this chase, because the survivors are perfectly safe.

Crawling survivors should not be able to exit through gates

If a situation arises, where you are chasing an injured survivor who is running to the open gates, manage to down them, you can't do anything about them, because if they have DS (Which is very likely, since it's a META perk.), they will use it and escape while the killer can't wait the DS out, because by the time the 60 seconds would be up, they would crawl through the gate.

If the game gets all the way to EGC, the killer is most likely not doing exactly well. And while survivors can escape bad games easily by suiciding on hook, the killer has no options like that when faced with a group that bullies the killer. Currently EGC gives no way for the killer to have any hope to recover the game in any way and puts survivors in a significant advantage.

Killer should have ability to sit and unrepair genegator. While gen unrepair killer will get skill checks. If skillcheck failed - gen gain 5% of progress.

I agree, If EGC was a bit longer, I think it should start when Gens are done.

EGC should also start automatically after a set time, 30min to begin with

Killer's closing a gate or resetting progress is a really strong idea, one that makes EGC rescues not feel boring for the Killer.

Gate closing and progress reset are there to make the killer less powerless.

If you hook someone in EGC, what can you do? Camp and secure at least one kill or try and find another survivor, while someone (Usually healthy) rescues the hooked survivor. Then if you try to catch them, the healthy player bodyblocks you and you can't do a thing. You hit the healthy player, they get a burst of speed and you get slowed down for recovery as they get so far, you have no chance of catching up and they both likely escape.

If the killer could close the gate, they couldn't just run in with the killer being powerless behind them. They run in, killer closes the gate, they die because of being in the gate area. It takes like what... 1 - 2 seconds for a survivor to run through? This would be punishment for having the killer literally right behind them. Besides that, the survivors could just escape without the one hooked survivor or split up between gates. Or still potentially escape through hatch. Just effectively removes part of toxic survivor behavior.

As a survivor main, I can understand where this comes from. I see a lot of games in the lower ranks where we fly through the gens, 99 gates and wait out the count.

BUT in higher rank games, it's more often than not we just slide by barely making it. I've seen more than 80% when there's a hook after EGC that we're unable to save and have to make the call to leave or to save. And that's if we even make it to EGC.

While I think that adding in killer gen interactions besides smashing them and the potential to close a gate is a good idea, I don't necessarily think it would be fully required. Maybe add limitations to it? You (the killer) may close the gate in the last 3ed of the EGC? For generators you may reverse the status if its more than half way complete but abandoned OR there are 2 left to be completed. That way the survivor can preform any unhooks for the rift challenges but still feel the pressure and add the extra push to keep the game moving.

Perfect for my ghostface, I'm tired or only pretending I'm repairing gens on the other side of clueless survivor. Let me actually fully commit to it!

Yeah, if you get to EGC and are pressured by the killer, you should get out, if not you will get out anyway after doing your safe-ish save.

Right now, all a killer is getting from EGC is a chance of survivor playing terribly bad and getting something out of it or the killer continuing to see the same stomping they went through the whole game xD
