Killers That Instantly Tunnel Because There's No Obsession...
The most pathetic playstyle playing a P3 Pyramid Head. Hiding your terror radius camping basement as a Pig. Literally camping hooks, I wouldn't mind if I actually got some points from the game. But just because the Killer sees there is no obsession, TUNNEL TIME. 2 games in a row, under 10k points at rank 1...how sad it is people have to play like this. I don't know what I can even do apart from forcing myself to use a aNtI-TunNeLiNg PeRk...massive flaw in the games design to have a game ended after a couple of minutes just because i'm not using a certain perk or just because there is no obsession. Maybe i'll chalk it down to me playing bad, but not much you can do against someone hiding their terror radius at a basement so no BT or you know looping a Killer that can hit through walls and even if he misses he get's no cooldown to do it 2 seconds later.
Then the game after these 2 games is a camping iri-head Huntress. NGL I can't remember the last time I went against a Killer who could actually play good and earn their Kills.
SuRvIvOr SiDeD game.

you can equip any obsession related perk to spawn it, even ones that make you less likely to be the obsession. Whenever that happens to a teammate, rush gens and leave. If you're the one on the hook, struggle for as long as you can to buy time. Kindred helps on both sides of the coin here. It's safer to cut your loses as a team and make sure the killer depips.
On a side note, I would love if Camaradeire stopped the struggle time by up to 34 seconds while the user is hooked, within 32m of the killer, and the end game collapse is not active.

Tunnelling is the strongest strategy if the killer confirms there is no DS/BT or has methods to negate either one.
I understand its ''toxic'' to some people and its un-fun, but I heavily doubt the survivors in that match wouldn't have rushed gens and abused strong loops if they had the chance.
16 -
If you looped better you might have gotten away. Also please don't blame killers for making the correct play because you decided not to bring the strongest perk in the game.

Some killer mains: cry when someone uses DS
The same killer mains:

Giving enough time an average killer can catch any survivor as resources are expendable and some are non renewable. Also, in most cases camping is not the correct decision. The killer loses map pressure and unless the ECG has started or there are multiple ppl hooked in the basement you're losing more than you gain by camping.

I legit don’t understand why survivors wouldn’t bring DS.
3 -
Because maybe some don't need it? I don't ever really run it.
11 -
I agree. I rarely have to use it, too, but I like having that insurance. For that one in twenty match.
5 -
Because it's fun to use other perks. I rarely use it even though in some matches I sure wish I did

Fun fact: some people enjoy tunneling and camping, so people enjoy sitting crouched in basement with Pig. Like I've said in many posts, there are a lot of situations in this game where one side will enjoy something the other wont, so is the way with most pvp games.
I for one enjoy camping with Leatherface, why? because altruistic survivors come for the save and end up making me have lots of fun cutting them down. Do they like it? well my rage mail tells me no. Do I care? Not really, because that's how I like playing.
Just take the L and move on, how people play is how they play and the game design allows that, namely down to the fact that even mathematically speaking a camper should only ever get 2 kills at most. Providing you don't get blinded by Altruism, they should only get 1 kill. Which more or less means, they have lost the game.

I try to play the same way regardless if there is an obsession or not. But if there's no obsession and the recently unhooked survivor runs at me I'm not going to give them a free pass.
Also if I'm getting down to the last 2 gens and no one is dead, then getting the guy on death hook out who was recently unhooked is a smart play.
3 -
If you can last more than 1min after unhook, ds is useless. Also there are 83 perks in the game, I don't wanna use the same 4 tryhards always. Same when I play killer as Ruin/Undying grew me bored after a while.
2 -
Yeah. It's lame. Funny you should mention Pyramid as he's the one killer that can literally tunnel THROUGH DS with no real penalty. I can't remember the last PH I saw that didn't do exactly that. Red ranks are just Freddies and Spirits for me nowadays. Players don't want to work for their wins anymore. They want to throw on Ruin/Undying and a decent add on and call it a day. Look how much Billy dropped in usability after they added a minor inconvenience at best to his kit (which can be pretty much removed outright with a common add on, it WAS a unnecessary change, but it was not the end of the world or Billys viability).

"If You Looped Better" lmao how can i loop a killer who is basement camping? You want me to jump in a locker and teleport out or something. As for the second game i got camped by Pyramid head, he hit my BT with his long range, chased me like 20 yards and hit me through a wall with his long range...not sure how that's primarily down to my skill at looping. On top of that, i'm not gonna force myself to run a perk i don't like just because a killer may want to tunnel or not. Like I said it's massive flaw in the games design...
5 -
Rushing gens and spawning god loops isn't in the Survivors control unfortunately and with the new map rewords there is less and less god loops and more and more dead zones.
1 -
I don't have the perk unlocked 😀
1 -
Yeah not too many great perks that can spawn the obsession really. MoM for example and For The People both requiring a lot of work forcing you to be injured.
Honestly though i'm just annoyed i depip like i know rank means nothing but i sit at rank 1 and get double pips and single pip games for hours on end sometimes and then 2 games like that, drop down the rank. Feel like the rank system annoys people more than it does anything else.
0 -
I get it but on both of these occasions i was camped and they even had other survivors they could go for and decided to go for me instead, i didn't run into the killer in which case i wouldn't complain
1 -
because I actually want to run some fun builds like healing and stuff rather than the top 10% of perks used in the meta everytime. This game isn't a damn esport or ranked so i don't know why we have these "sweat" perks that are constantly being used on both sides
1 -
Go with kindred. It helps coordinate your team if you're on hook or signs you to avoid the unsafe unhook. And remember that climbing in SQ must be slow and steady, not all killers use jerk moves.
1 -
You loop the killer around the basement hooks, obviously
1 -
First of all, basement should be remove of this game.

Some don't have that DLC or it unlocked. Others do not like the perk's design and won't use it. Some like me play on Xbox1 and the fps make it unreliable to hit the skillcheck, much like being exhausted on the ground with DH.
There can be many reasons.

I tunnel even if there is an obsession, get the DS out of the way. It's a legitimate strategy and quite effective.
2 -
Do you enjoy being tunneled when you play survivor?
6 -
No, but it's not about whether the other team is having fun. If you're being tunneled the game will be over quick for you, just hop in another.
3 -
Weird logic.
11 -
Indeed, completely devoid of empathy for the other side, no matter if killer or survivor.
13 -
You realize this is a pvp game right? Not a co-op, everyone hold hands game.
2 -
If there is no obsession then tunneling can be the optimal play in some instances. Not always ideal but what can you do.
1 -
There is no future with your logic.
1 -
Playing toxic, then crying about toxic players. Infinite logic.
4 -
Its a 4 on 1 game, requiring at least some teamwork to get gens done and a few survs out. The ones who do the best exhibit the finest coop & may even all escape.
1 -
Just by curiosity, are you slugging for the 4K ? Just to know if you are logic or not with your sentences.

I don't bring DS, ever. I run Iron Will, Calm Spirit, Self Care, and Spine Chill. That is my standard build. You will note there are no exhaustion Perks in there and no DS. I do just fine. Why? I evade the Killer when I can, I loop the Killer when I can't, and I get by with the help of the other Survivors. Oddly enough I rarely ever have the experiences described and lamented here. Being tunneled and camped certainly do not make up the majority of my matches. Does it happen? Sure, but it is certainly the exception not the rule.
1 -
So pyramid hit you through walls from 20 meters away? Sounds like he was really good man he deserves the down.
Also why are so many people quoting me like I've complained about survivors bringing DS or camping? It's the best perk in the game people should bring it just like I being infectious on oni and ruin/undying on blight. There's no reason to gimp yourself or get mad at people for not playing by imaginary rules you made for them in your head. That's called the scrub mentality.
3 -
I said 20 yards he didn't hit me from 20 yards away he chased me from the hook for 20 yards and hit me through a wall...not my fault because he can just spam his long range constantly, seems like you know what you're talking about clearly.
Infectious I rarely see, but yeah same boring meta Undying/Ruin too but i don't complain about that. I'm complaining about getting taking out of a game by a Killer who has no negative effects against spamming his long range and can constantly do it while gaining bloodlust.
1 -
i'm on xbox too and killer is literally close to unplayable at times with fps drops and some survivor games everytime a pallet prompt comes up, frames drop by 5 fps everytime
3 -
Old meme noeds not home meme intensifies.

What the heck is "E-to-outplay" dunno what that means?
0 -
I honestly don't know why every survivor doesn't run DS. I'm not being toxic, I just don't want to be farmed and tunneled out of the game (I'm a solo survivor, for what it's worth), especially after waiting so long in a lobby. Any time I get that rare killer who doesn't just camp and tunnel, I'm like, WHERE'S DEVOUR FIND THE DEVOUR AHHHHH

DS should just work like nemesis. No obsession until a DS is used.
0 -
Yeah, I agree. I was addressing the obsession problem.
0 -
Why do people find it necessary to make a forum post every time someone does something they don't like? No one cares that some random killer/survivor played like so and so. Just move on to the next trial.
0 -
I'm trying to shed light on some issues in the game with certain Killers powers and how they can end a game for someone to have less than 10k points. It makes playing survivor frustrating at times and it's a big issue with the game coming out of a game 5 minutes later with a depip and 6k bloodpoints...you might as well of not played. But people are obviously too blind to the fact that killers can end the game with 25k 0 kills when a survivor can escape depip and even played a good game come out with 24-27k points.
I dunno I guess i see a lot more potential for each trial to be a better interactive experience for both sides whether people get killed or not. I don't know how people can defend someone ever being instantly killed out the game after 2-5 minutes...with getting nothing for it either.

I do. But being a pvp game is no excuse or free card for one to act like a jerk. Sportsmanship involves both coop and versus aspects.
2 -
And that's where you and the outspoken minority are wrong. Playing the game to win is not acting like a jerk. It's simply playing the game. Do you handicap yourself when playing super mario by tossing away your first two lives? Or do you hard drop the first 5-10 blocks in Tetris to give the computer an advantage? No, you play the game the way it's meant to be played. I know these are basic examples but what you people are suggesting is that and it's counter intuitive to human instinct.

ill do what I want. I didn't pay money for a game where other players tell me what to do. It's the devs fault for making it possible in the first place. Don't blame the person using it.

You mean a key on a keyboard? Sorry I'm a console player

this is why obsessions should spawn no matter what. problem solved
