After I purchase one spot in the Bloodweb, I can't buy another one without backing out (PS4)

I've been having this problem for about two months I would think and it is incredibly annoying. So, if I didn't explain it well enough in the title:
- I try to buy the next node in the Bloodweb.
- The first purchased node works.
- I try to buy a second node in the Bloodweb.
- It does not work. It doesn't even show up like I'm hovering over it (in fact, the only thing that I can click that will actually work is Options, Daily Rituals, The Archives.)
- I cannot back out to the menu by pressing Circle, nor can I select a different killer, go to the in-game Store, or get to the Loadout screen.
- Sometimes it makes the sound of unlocking a node (that "crumply" sound) just play non-stop very loudly.
- The only way to back out is either "Select a Challenge," "Claim Rewards," or to just close the application and restart the game.
- This has been happening very frequently to me.
This is on the PS4 and I could submit pictures/video, if need be.
