Keys won’t open hatch on new Mount Ormond map

The hatch spawned in the middle building on the first level of the stairs right in front of the middle building generator location. Not at the top of the stairs just up the first few stairs to the flat portion.
I was the new survivor and I found a ultra rare key and a purple key in a chest in the basement of the shack. I gave the purple key to Felix.
We completed all the generators against The Cannibal and when the hatch spawned neither of us could open the hatch. We tried for a couple minutes with no luck. I stuck around to see if it would open and when I was the last survivor, it opened and I escaped through it normally.
