Hi Elliot, from my experience it's actually much more than that!

I created a Thread about it here and posted it as a Bug already:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/210142/deception-perk-not-working-as-intended#latest

But whether it is "Exhaustion" that gets triggered by Deception or not, I noticed that when it Fails to work as intended (which has happened to me many times) and my character jumps into the Locker - afterward other Perks such as Head On or Quick & Quiet don't work, which to some degree Exhaustion would explain.. but as you mentioned no where is it listed that Deception would cause Exhaustion, and in my opinion it absolutely should not given that it is a fairly weak Perk already as is listed.

I will mention to you though however, that I have been successfully able to use Head On AFTER a Successful Deception (where my character did not jump into a locker as intended) and afterwards I was able to jump into a different locker with Quick & Quiet and use Head On when the Killer walked by, which is definitely how I believe the Perk was intended to be able to be used, and since I have experienced being able to do this successfully I am quite certain that it is in fact a BUG that causes Deception to Fail or Exhaustion.

Hopefully this is of some help, I would love for this issue to be resolved so that I could enjoy using this New Perk I just paid money for and spent 1 million bloodpoints to teach to my main :(

Elliot, mind if I ask you if you have had the same issue as me using Deception where even though you are absolutely sprinting and you can see Deception being active and lighting up but try to use the Perk and instead your character jumps into the Locker (when they are not supposed to)? Have you experienced this as well? It happens about 50% of the time for me actually, the other 50% it works fine and my character doesn't jump into the locker, I have tested it multiple times and have not done any thing differently that would help me dictate why it works sometime and not the other..
