New Gamemodes and Potentially Saving The Playerbase
I sat down and plotted player count data from DBD there is some really bad ######### going on with DBD
https://steamcharts.com/app/381210
Look at that player count drop.
Quick clarification on the chart it won't mirror in excel for some reason but the game started on the left. This data goes to show that it's numbers are all over the place and then beyond just that it's up in the higher regions. But keep in mind its current number around 40k is where, a different game; gmod used to be 2 years ago.
Spread this and make a stand on the forums and share this with other dbd players.
I don't hate this game at all, I just don't want it to fail and burn down it's player base without any hopeful resuscitation. What could possibly help the community out and for them to stick around is to brainstorm new game mode ideas, bringing in a new experience all together with DeadByDaylight by adding new content for players to gather around and experiment with as the play. Now, I know some of you would be saying that "it would take a long time to implement" I'm sure that's the case, but with the amount of money that BHVR has made they could atleast put the effort to make the game better to appeal to the audiences.
Here's some quick videos review on the current state of events with DBD as of now:
With the hit validation some survivors and killers tend to suffer, I can agree with what the video has to say on that matter as well. I could go and might as well spread some mindful screenshots on what happened with a similar user making statements on the game's behalf, but they got banned right away. However I will not be posting them in order to keep this thread up and hopefully not be banned right away. These are just a few criticisms again I don't hate the game I just want the game to stay fun and become better. If anyone wants to see the screenshots, PM me and you will get them. This isn't something petty or dramatic, this is to fix technical issues more than it is drama.
I know that this game is a PVP game, nobody needs to tell me that. It's inevitable a game like this will turn out to be toxic, any game is capable of doing that. What people can do is try to be a wholesome community, but not everything is all sunshine and rainbows, there will be aggravating results in many circumstances during gameplay. From repetive perks, to unnecessary teabagging; there will always be skill involved as well depending on how long the average user will play and their rank shows on that evidence. Otherwise I can point the obvious on how hackers/cheaters ruin the game in other people's expense.
A gamemode I've been thinking of is something like TF2's standpoint on the PvE aspect, if there was a mode in which killers and survivors work together to defeat the creations of the entity has against them; it would be a totally fresh new experience. It would have it's own story of course, a brand new mode and new start.
I don't have that many brainstormed ideas in mind so that's why I'm looking for feedback here. If you're gonna bring up something like "dude just host a custom game, have you thought of that?" while that can be true to an extent, there's still some limits. As it would induce mostly roleplay and imagination instead of actual implementations into the game.
