Coup de Grâce Buff/Rework Idea

Coup de Grâce is one of the new killer perks, it was already situational in the PTB and it got nerfed (Idk why). So here is my idea of how to buff it.

=========================================================================================

Coup de Grâce

As the end nears, you go in for the kill.

Each time a Generator is completed, Coup de Grâce gains a Token.

After you hook a survivor Coup de Grâce activates.

When Coup de Grâce is active you can increase your lunge distance by 12/15/17% for each token.

Coup de Grâce deactivates after you perform a lunge.

=========================================================================================

What this means?

  • If a Generator is completed and you hook a survivor, the next lunge will reach 12/15/17% further, you will still have 1 Token but the perk will be deactivated until you hook someone else.
  • If a Generator is completed before you hook anyone, you're next lunge will be a normal lunge, the perk will still be deactivated and you will have 1 Token.
  • If you hook someone before a Generator is completed, you're next lunge will be a normal lunge, the perk will deactivate and you will have 0 Tokens.
  • If you hook someone and after that a Generator is completed, you're next lunge will reach 12/15/17% further.
  • If you have 1 Generator left and you hook someone, you're next lunge will reach 48/60/68% further and you will have 4 tokens.

What do you think?

    hey that's better than what it currently is! Honestly any buff or rework for this perk that isn't unreasonable is welcomed. I like how your idea works but i still think it's too limited, at most it activates 12 times and while that's better i feel like it's not that good until later in the game and it's not like you can reasonably save tokens and reasonably your not getting it to activate that many times unless you hit the winning point where survivors can't recover.

    Another way they could buff it is so it has more tokens to use overall, like you start with 2 and every gen done gives you 2 tokens. that way it will only be used in 1 or 2 chases for every gen done while being consistent with the value the perk gives.

    I'd definitely consider running the perk if it was changed this way. It really needs more than 5 uses.

    This is pretty good, though IMO I don't think it should only activate a few times per match. What about making it like Fire Up where the lunge slowly gets longer with each gen completed? With the current lunge increases, you could make it 8%/10%/12% longer lunge per token.

    I think that the main issue with Coup de Grace is that sometimes you just want a regular lunge- I think there should be some special trigger, for example, pressing space or something like that could make you automatically lunge with Coup de Grace buffs. That way, you don't accidentally waste Coup de Grace when you don't need to. I think that it does need more than five uses, however I think you have ended up nerfing it by decreasing the distance. I like the current distance, since it's not too broken atm. The way I'd do it is like this:

    COUP DE GRÂCE

    As the end nears, you go in for the kill.

    After Hooking two Survivors, Coup de Grâce gains a Token.

    When Coup de Grâce is active, you can increase your lunge distance by 50/55/60% by pressing the Active Ability button. One token of Coup de Grâce is then consumed.

    This would make it so that you have multiple uses (every two hooks - couldn't quite figure out the correct wording in there), and you still have the same lunge buff.
