Devs..I had faith in the mori change..and yet..here we are
I was so hopeful..this was the step to making moris part of the game but fun and non disruptful for everyone , I thought so many times this would be another of your times to show your creativity when it counted, yet here we are..you changed a 1..to a 2..
I myself created an entire reworked moei system that retired the offerings, gave moris a purpose both atmospheric and rewarding, i posted it here hoping one of the ideas posted mine or otherwise would reinvent this system to be a true part of the game but fair..and I really feel let down..as I can see many others are too..what went wrong here? How is this the long awaited mori change? The lowest of roads taken..I had way higher expectations for your team..

Yeah, you would think after already meeting Moris once they would have been more careful and precise with the nerf. As well as actually changing keys at the same time.

Being able to mori someone is an extremely overpowered concept, that's why killer mains like it. How would you make it fun for everyone(unless everyone = killer) when it completely negates the game for survivors?

Using a key to escape with your teammates is an extremely overpowered concept; that’s why survivor mains like it. And keys have never been nerfed, while Moris have been nerfed twice

Even this version of moris didn't negate anything , I've survived moris plenty of times, as for me..thats easy..id have a system in place to make moris an earnable mechanic that uses effective power usage by the killer as terms to earn the right to mori death hook survivors, and final survivors as well..it retires the old offerings and makes moris part of the game rather than a disruption

Both Mori's and Keys are disliked because they deny the other side opportunity to play a conventional game of DBD. Killers are denied the right to play the last few generators and endgame while survivors are denied the right to play after what would be their second hook.

No one is pretending moris were fair or balanced, they are just annoyed that now they are purly cosmetic and have no impact on game-play what so ever now. From busted to totally useless, it's actually worse to use them now because they take longer than it takes to hook someone.

Yes, and the real problem is timing and perception. And the fact the offering is useless. The fact that it was done with no announcment, was attached to a HOTFIX, and that they have been nerfed twice while keys have been untouched, just makes some people feel like the devs are biased.

It does seem to me, at least, if this was going to be the fix... they could have done this a LONG time ago. Many people (including myself) made suggestions of how to correct the Mori in ways which made them balanced and kept some efficacy. Had they done this long ago (since it was literally that easy) they could have saved us a FORTUNE in BP. :)

I've said this for ages, but BHVR will always take the easiest path out whenever possible. It's why we get so many bandaid perks and powers to deal with game mechanics issues.
They rail about how we call them lazy, yet every opportunity, they take the easy way out. Like pigs traps in egc, legion's nerf.
I think they half learned their lesson on the Legion nerf, because they actually put effort into doctor and Freddy, and even if you dislike them, you have to admit they were big changes that functionally changed the killers.
This moments are few and far between, however.

Keys don't remove players from the game. Nor can they be used within 2 minutes of the match starting.

Neither do Mori's now. So keys are just better. While Mori's nerf was handled sloppily, lazily, and with no information and thrown into a HOTFIX. If they had handled any of this fiasco better, if they had done one thing that made it seem like this was not just an off hand decision, I could handle this better. But the whole thing is a hot mess.
