2nd hook phase randomly killing you.

The 2nd hook phase randomly decides to kill you for no reason whatsoever, no matter how quickly you mash spacebar.
To test, I decided to make a macro that can press space faster than humanly possible. This macro will hit space every single millisecond. Once on my 2nd hook, I tested this macro and it worked perfectly... for about 15 seconds. After 15 seconds, I randomly died for no reason. 3 teammates alive and macro still active.
If pressing spacebar 1,000 times a second isn't good enough, then what is?
