My problem with object of obsession

I feel like the devs have gotten to the point they want people to quit the game. If you remember a few months ago, they announced that object wasn’t being nerfed, and how there was no problem with it because of the escape rate. That’s probably because people who bring it get camped to death. Object is downright op on maps such as midwich. Midwich was already a pretty bad map, but the fact you can literally see the killer from the other side of the map at all times? That right there is “balanced” according to bhvr. Object can defeat the purpose of certain killer powers? That’s clearly “balanced”. And map offerings don’t help with this. Map offerings shouldn’t even exist because of how much power it gives people. They are just ignoring the complaints knowing full well that the perk is op just to try and attract more swf. It’s neglecting the community to try and appeal a certain set of players. The least bhvr could do is put a cool down on object to at least give it a somewhat balanced feeling. What do you think about object?

I think many share the opinion of object being the most miserable perk in the game. It´s way too strong when used in a SWF, way too strong on certain maps and against certain Killers, like Trapper. Ignoring the Object is not an option for him.

It also makes for unfun matches. Usually, the Object will either get tunneled and camped or completely ignored, either way a far stretch from a fun match.

The fact this perk hasn´t been severely nerfed yet is the most baffling balance decision since the days of extreme pallet- and flashlightsaves.

The perk needs a rework but doing that basically says that the perk was a problem however it is only a issue in SWF's so reworking it says that swf's have a massive advantage with this perk and for some reason the devs won't say anything about it's usage in SWF's.

It's probably because doing so admits the perk is a problem regardless of it's stats and they don't want to admit that SWF's have a massive advantage over solo's.

As for what they should do the perk needs a cooldown like you said but also it needs it's range reduced. This is my idea for the perk to try to balance it for both sides.

OoO: When looking in the direction of the killer you see their aura for 5 seconds if they are outside 16 meters and within 48 meters. OoO has a cooldown of 20/15/10 seconds, during the cooldown the killer can see your aura outside of 16 meters. If you are not the obsession OoO has a cooldown of 30/25/20 seconds.

OoO does not activate if the killer is undetectable, you are in the dying state, or if you are hooked.

The only saving grace I have with OoO on Midwich is that I play a lot of Huntress and keeping the OoO users away from the three gens I have my eyes on can be easy with hatchets down long halls. I'm not always that lucky.
