Two quick changes to Hex: Undying.

While I personally don't mind Hex perks since I run Detective's Hunch, A lot of people struggle with dealing with this perk. So here are a few nerfs that I propose:

  1. Auras are revealed only when the survivor is actively cleansing a hex totem.
  2. Survivors are notified when they destroy a totem that Hex:Undying is in play, and that it has respawned a hex totem.

Honestly, the aura reading is the only thing that feels unnecessary. Like, what even is the point of Hex: Retribution, when Hex:Undying works on every totem, is basically unlimited in usage and is only 4 seconds shorter? If they really must nerf this perk, removing the aura reading on dull totems feels like a fair change. And notifying survivors that the hex exists at all would bring it in line with basically every other hex in the game.

Again, I don't think the perk really needs nerfing. I just hope Behaviour doesn't put Hex: Ruin in the dumpster for being Undying's partner in crime when the hammer falls.

I actually fully agree with this. Hell, you can remove the aura reading entirely as I feel like it robs Thrill of the Hunt from its relevancy a tad. The aura ready is also so much stronger than just a notifier, it has helped me find so many immersed idiots and robbed survivors of mind games because a tile had a totem in it.

Very much like the idea of notifying survivors of Undying's presence. It also lets you know it wasn't cleansed and you'll have to find ruin (or anything else) again.

Thats a pretty fair change. It still give utility to Undying on its own and make it clear that the Hex is in play.

I do agree with some kind of nerf to the aura reading of undying. Heck, if they remove it I’d be okay if they let hexes keep some/all their collected tokens. Hopefully makes a new meta of undying/devour hope, the counter being cleansing still but now the killer needs to activates patrol totems instead of seeing the survivor and swooping in before it is cleansed (unless they use thrill of the hunt or are the twins).

Personally, I would just remove the Aura reading. And give a Hex: Undying notification whenever a totem respawns. So we're pretty much on the same page. I feel like Undying steps on Thrill of the Hunt's toes too much

The problem with completly removing the aura reading is that Hex: Undying would do nothing on its own. I don't think the devs want that.

    1. It's no longer a hex perk

    2. It no longer has aura reading

    3. It gives all hex perks a guaranteed extra life as long as there's another totem to transfer to.

    4. Has a notification.

    5. Increases time to cleanse a hex totem to 18s. (?)

    6. Does not reset tokens (?)

I think this would address most people's problem with the perk on both sides.

(?) Means might be too strong.

If they're gonna nerf this perk, the Survivors Queue will be much worse.

Open handed needs to be addressed as well.

Having perks that do nothing without other perk or item is bad design
