Flashlight saves are not working properly
So since the last hotfix/patch that "fixed" flashlights I've continuously noticed flashlight saves not working properly. I didn't say anything for some time now bcuz I've been taking a small break over the last week from the game and I figured the rest of the community would test it far more then me and report the bug. Since that isn't the case I guess here I am.
When you flashlight a Killer who is picking up a survivor you may get the successful 'fully blinded' animation where the beam of light narrows to a pin head. If you are running the perk We're Gonna Live Forever you will get a stack towards the perk for successfully flashlight saving. You will also get a sound notification stating your flashlight attempt worked. Then you will watch the Killer, who is experiencing the visual effects of being blinded, act disoriented because they can't see, but not drop the Survivor or get stunned.
The fact that We're Gonna Live Forever is registering the stack and the Killers aren't getting stunned and dropping Survivors leads me to believe the issue is on the Killers end of the flashlight blinding system. On the Survivor end the game registers the flashlight save but on the Killers end it never registers the final 'fully blind' situation and so it doesn't stun the Killer or drop the Survivor.
From my own experiences of playing Killer I have had several situations where I was very certain a Survivor had fully flashlighted me. They started the flashlight beam at the perfect time and perfect angled during the pickup animation. The visual effect of being blinded is what would seem to be maxed. Then I find myself extremely surprised I hadn't been fully blinded, stunned, and the Survivor wasn't saved. I watch several Killer main streamer on a semi regular basis as well and I've been seeing a lot of this happening across the board.
