Switch - Skill check bug

I got the game on switch version. Sadly, skill checks are not working even i hit the box. I already uninstall and install the game. . Pls fix this problem right away pls?
Sorry my mistake. I thought there's a bug because i didn't know that you have to press the L button to hit box while skill checking. It doesnt mention anything about pressing the L button when hitting the box when skilling checking in tutorial
