It's time for a BT rework

Borrowed Time itself is a great perk, the problem here is not what It does, it's how It works.

2 main problems here:

1. The perk itself triggers when inside of the TR of the killer, that means undetectable killers or killers with small TR+M&A can completely negate the perks use. And killers with bigger TR can be punished by It even tho they could be 40m away from the hook.

2. The "insta-save" abuse that we all know about. So once you hook the survivor, you can get the other 3 survivors to ambush the hook and save him, if done correctly there's nothing you can do as killer to punish such a reckless save.

Solutions:

Rework the perk so that It reads something like this:

After a survivor is been hooked for 5-4-3 seconds Borrowed Time activates (solving problem 2), saving the survivor will give him the Enduring status effect for 15 seconds if the killer is 24m or closer from the hook (solving problem 1).

A distance activation condition would still pose the same type of issues as in point 1 when the killer has high mobiity.

Simply proc'ing upon unhook and a shorter endurance timer would probably do the trick for problem 1. After all, if it takes the killer something like 10 seconds to get back to the hook, they weren't really camping/proxying and, if BT expired by then, the killer won't be punished.

Although, even in that case, if the timer stayed at 15 sec it wouldn't likely change much. By the time the killer gets back the survivor will have run to a loop and the endurance would expire anyway.

    Food for thoughts.

    Borrowed time

Should only be a one time use per match match.

It should not be able to be used once the 5 gens are complete.

If there is nore than 2 survivors in thw proximity of the hook (not inclusing hooked one) bt shouldnt work to avoid the swf getting a free unhook.

Its so over powered. I feel like when i hook a survicor and 3 others run up in space of 3 seconds.

2 survicors standing in your way

1 survior with bt unhooks and all run off.

Nothing you can do about it . Except look stupid.

Survivors say you dan go away from the hook and the bt wont work. How does that work when all surcicors are tight there. Either way the surcicor get a free unhook. You chase someonw from hook. Another durvivor unhooks. You camp. A survivor with bt unhooks.

Its what we call in the killer side ad a lose lose and morw lose situation.
