Please bring back old freddy
The current freddy we have just makes games unfun, gotta watch for slowdown traps which he never had, can use perks and addons to make a forever freddy build which is annoying to go against.
What I'm trying to say here is that old freddy was consistent and fun to play as there was a even and fun challenge but the current freddy just plows through people.
I honestly groan every time I see it freddy and I'll eat the DC penalty just to avoid matches with him.
Old freddy was better and you can't change my mind.

Just bring back old freddy, he was consistent with his power and offered a straight debuff to survivors.

That's the thing though, even if you wake up with the alarm clock you don't actually have 60 seconds of immunity to falling asleep, if you have a 60 second immunity to falling asleep, getting hit should not cancel that immunity.

Big nerf yes but I believe it's for the better as old freddy was just a m1 killer as well but he hindered asleep survivors with a negative 50% speed to almost everything forcing them to wake up, waking up with current freddy has no real upside besides slightly slowing his teleport recharge and if your affected by traps.
Old freddy hurts more than new freddy

I'd love it if Old Freddy came back, I'd play him all the time. He didn't need a full rework, just some tweaks.
Everyone wrote Freddy off as a bad killer due to not being able to stop actions happening in front of your face, but he had some big advantages to compensate. The Dream Transition was a great tool to be able to mindgame survivors, but this mindgame was really inaccessable due to the game not giving you any indication of if you were visible or not. Giving him a 16m terror radius would've also improved his ability to sneak up on people while they were out of position. Being able to keep everyone asleep as long as possible let you know where everyone was at all times. Even just giving him a way to interact with survivors that were holding M1 as they fell asleep would've made him so much better.
Freddy as he stands now is just a generic meta killer. It's a massive shame BHVR threw out everything that made him an original and unique killer to make him as efficient as possible. If BHVR's changes to Freddy consist of slowing him down when he places a snare or something, I'm going to be so mad. I hope they bring the Old Freddy back in some way when they come around to changing him.

I personally loved the old Freddy, he didn't need to be fully reworked just some minor fixes here and there. He used to be so fun to play against and now I hate seeing him. No longer that fun to play against, more of a chore.

Old Freddy was pretty unique but he was also weak due to not being able to interact with survivors until they were asleep.
DBD is all about time efficiency and the seconds it took him to put people into the dream stage was too much. Also, waking yourself up was extremely easy and had no real downside to it. Failling a skillcheck and giving up your location to him wasn't that detremntal because you still had a head start everytime he started a chase with you.
The most problematic situations for old Freddy were when injured survivors were running to the exit gates. You were pretty much safe in these scenarios and he couldn't hit you.
Was his power more fun to play or play against? Probably. But it sadly was not well designed for the meta of the game.
It would be nice if the nerfed version of Freddy would be a mix of the old and the new one.

I completely agree

That's what I liked about him, he was extremely unique with his ability and was very straightforward with his playstyle. He may have been weak but with the perks we have now in game could help compensate for his weaknesses. So instead of a killer that's a chore aka current freddy, we would have a fairly balanced killer with medium to medium-high killing potential.

I would play against old Freddy over new Freddy in a heartbeat.
