I can’t struggle on hook (Xbox)

No matter how much I spam A the game will not let me survive through the struggle phase. The A on my screen will stop flashing and I will die and this happens every single time I’m on the 2nd phase. This isn’t a lag issue like the dead hard one, although that does happen occasionally, the game will simply not allow me to struggle and I’ve been having this problem for around half a year now.

A perfect reason to remove the struggle phase, hopefully they get on it soon.
