Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Survivor should be able to prevent unhooking when it's not safe

It has happened to many survivors: your greedy team mate doesn't really want to save you off the hook, they want their unhooking points and end up unhooking you right in killer's face without Borrowed Time. The survivor hanging on hook can do absolutely nothing about it but has to face consequences, usually gets hooked again and dies early. This is way too common.

Survivors can prevent unwanted healing if they move around. There should be an option to prevent unwanted unhooking if you see it's not safe yet.

You see, on paper it's a good idea. But in reality it sometimes would be a bad idea.

Imagine, exactly as your scenario, a random goes to save you from a hook. The killer comes back to the hook, but the survivor DOES happen to have BT, you just don't know that. Obviously you would prevent the unhooking in that scenario, no? And that would hurt your team even more.(you still on hook, teammate now probably injured)

Yes, that's possible. However, sometimes you know for sure that the survivor doesn't run BT. Either they have unsafely unhooked you earlier (this happened to me one day. The same person farmed me off the hook twice and well...that was a quick match for me) or you see them doing it to someone else.

It would still often be worth the risk just to take unhooking and hope they have BT but at least the one hanging on hook had some control. It would discourage hook farming and unnecessarily reckless saves just because the rescuer runs BT (sometimes the killer just eats BT and downs you anyway)

If it was for example a different looking hook animation, others would see right away they can't unhook you yet and wouldn't get hurt so easily. This could also be used as telling others "don't feed the facecamper. Do gens and leave"

    I would like this.

It would also be neat if killers could unhook survivors, like to Mori them or let them go.

Easy solution is a notification pops up when BT survivor comes near the hook letting you know you are now in "BT Aura Radius" so you don't freak out.
