Hag Traps Visually Disappearing (even though she has not reached the limit and no addons for it)

I was in the basement on hook when she placed a trap behind the stairs adjacent to the wall when the trap was placed. It was there for about 10 seconds before it completely disappeared into the floor, and yet the trap was still active, which caused me to get one hooked in the basement. The trap was in the same spot when I went for the save and I could not burn it with a flashlight either, so the killer exploited a trap spot for basement hooks.
