Survive With Friends party bug

sometimes, when playing in a party with friends, i will be kicked from it following a match about 50% of the time without doing anything. usually, i can be added right back, but seemingly at random, i will become unable to receive new invites, and must restart the game before i can rejoin the party.
inviting me through steam can sometimes get me back into the party, but often the rest of the party will then get into a match without me, and i'll be still on the "searching for game" screen. on their end, i will not be in the match.
if anyone can tell me what might cause this, or if the devs could implement a fix, it'd be appreciated.
