Linux compatibility

Hi there, i am playing dbd for some years now, and really like the game.

i changed my operating system recently to run Manjaro Linux, and encountered a at least in the linux community known problem.

the anti-cheat engine dbd uses is completely incompatible to linux. it just freezes the game during startup and thats it.

then watching dbd videos on youtube (the example i use is a survivor in a video where ohtofu played doctor), seeing people blatantly hack,.. self revive, auto heal, flying, ... just to name a few

30sec head on stun and so on... feels like anti cheat doesnt really help and just prevents users from other systems playing the game.

would is be possible to have a look at that? i mean baring people from playing around this small issue cant be your anti cheat goal,.. right?

Seconded. Please work with Valve to switch to an anti-cheat that is compatible with Proton. EAC just isn't worth it.

I was playing on linux on latest vmware with dx11 support, it was playable but not as smooth as native app. Since it's a vm it also requires a lot of resources.
