i miss the endgame banter, give console players a text box to chat the end of games.
Title really, I am not sure if anyone else misses the banter (although sometimes, just slurs which i don't miss) at the end of games, but now crossplay is the norm, it just dosn't happen anymore.

Do not.
I already get hate mail on Xbox and I do not want to have an endgame chat where people can call me awful things and go completely unpunished

It should be same for everyone. So remove chat for PC-players aswell. Toxic messages we can all do without.

I agree

Nah dbd is the only game that has ever made me change my privacy settings for receiving messages and I changed it after a week of getting the game lol. Honestly if they did this I would actually hate it and if I wasn't able to turn it off I probably would end up not playing the game because of it.

If people had the post game chat lobby to air their thoughts you would get less hate mail

Endgame chat would be nice to have on console tbh because like what if you get positive comments from the killer/survivor? And since DBD is crossplay now it would be very nice to have the endgame chat on console and not just PC 😪

I absolutely love the hate. Almost every day I play someone goes and expands my salt collection with such original comments as "only tunnel and camp"

I wish it existed.

This I almost never get hate messagss when i play rocket league because it has the endgame chat, i dont care about the hate messages but it clogs up my inbox which is annoying .

Yeah.. No. I for one like the pre-game and post game chats as it allows you to make new friends to play with. Being forced to play with zero chat interaction is a terrible idea. You might as well just play against bots at that point and turn DBD into a single player game.

You don't NEED the chat box to make new friends on the game. Can't you just message their profile if you had that good of a time with them? That's what we've always done on Xbox and it's worked out fine.
4 -
Would also cut down on reports they receive if they did this.
1 -
I also do miss it. I've recently started switching off crossplay if I'm getting quick lobbies as killer or survivor. Want to text and chat to someone after a match.
2 -
If you don't like interacting with others in chat, you can simply hide it. Slightly off the theme of this post but I'd hate to see end game chat removed on PC because people are complaining about it too much. Simply hide it if you don't like it. For all the toxicity there is, there's still some wholesome chats that I'd really miss.

Agree to 100%
I miss the salty messages but i miss it even more to compliment good players.
It's frustrating :(
2 -
You should include having a lobby chat box as well.
1 -
I want to be able to compliment people, but almost always their cross-playing.
Also getting salty messages is pretty funny.

That's not true and it doesn't make it okay for people to call me slurs and not be punished.
4 -
There is no way to do this on Console.
By giving Console EndGame chat, you allow people in that chat to get away with pretty much anything they want.
3 -
I'm pretty sure the hate mail situation is only as bad as it is on console because it's literally the only way a player can hit you with some salt after the game. If they had the chat lobby to get it out of their system then you would get flamed more in the chat and less on your profile.
I don't know what you mean about not getting punished, a friend of mine was given a warning one time for insulting someone (they did racially slur him first), so as far as I know, they do punish people if you report them

"banter"
HAHAHA
2 -
Replace "banter" with "salt" and I agree with OP. Lets hash out our differences after the match, otherwise we can just ignore it
1 -
I wish I could talk to console players. Honestly through most of the ranks I've had more pleasant interactions than toxic ones. Now that I've hit red ranks the toxicity is starting more often which is usually just stupid and I move on. But I really like being able to give props, give tips to a newer player, say gg, or have some funny brief conversations with people. I'll take the good with the bad.

They give an option to hide chat on PC. If it were on console, they'd likely do the same. If you don't want to see the chat, you don't have to. But on the other hand those who want to chat get the ability to.
3 -
And again, you are giving people a platform to be toxic to each other and evade punishment. A lot of Console players don't even have Crossplay on.
1 -
Add one. I like to be able to tell killer’s gg if they played well, or whatever. People whining about hate in chat rooms really need to just stop reading.
1 -
If they were to add it they would add the ability to hide it like there is on pc. As for crossplay it is on by default, if you turn it off thats fine too, this discussion still has merit. It is a much better system imo, as it declutters my inbox. Me personally i dont care about the salt and toxicity but not having it available creates a divide in the community between pc and console, i prefer to be able to communicate with the people i play with.
1 -
Please no, I enjoy the quiet. It's why I like console players.
1 -
You have an option either way to hide it if you don't like it. If they're being toxic, what will it matter if your chat is off? It really isn't difficult. If you have it on, you know that there is a possibility of them being toxic. If you don't want that risk: turn it off.
Almost every large MP game has some form of a chat. I'd like to see it because I actually want to ask someone a question or just say something to a killer or survivor I had a lot of fun with. I hate having a fun killer or teammate just to find out they're on PC. It's frustrating not to be able to communicate with others just because of my platform.

as a pc player id rather you didn't. i enjoy my egc banter.

Funnily enough, on console the amount of times I got told to kill myself or told to get cancer and die or just false reports of cheating, was so high that I got temp banned twice.
On PC I can count my negative experiences on one hand. Most are just GGs and talking about the match. I think because on console the ordeal of going into messages and typing on a controller is only for the absolute salt mine tilted to the moon and back jerks.
A quick gg takes no effort and is way more chill.
