Neat Idea but Nothing Necessary: Voice Snippets

Been listening to RE: Resistance and L4D2's voice lines, and it got me to thinking about how awkwardly silent DbD Survivors are. Aside from their panting and screaming, they're as quiet as mimes. This isn't a bad thing, but a little weird. I think it'd add a bit of personality if the Survivors had a few voice lines they'd say under certain circumstances. What comes to mind at first are expressions of gratitude for being healed. The lines don't have to be loud or frequent, a thank-you in a hushed voice is sufficient.


Again, this isn't anything pressing, nothing the game needs to have, but it'd be a cool touch as a bonus.

    I like that! A few presets to hit at a moment’s notice.

    ”yes”

    ”no”

    ”danger” (and then point)

    ”help me” (when you need healing or when someone run past the gen you’re working on)

    ”thank you”


    I imagine all of these in a scared, almost trembling hushed whisper.

    Maybe one more, available only when injured AND in a chase: A louder-than-normal “No, Please no!”


    There may also be a killer perk allowing them to hear these from a distance and get clues as to location.

    I would love for killers and survivors to have voice lines. Though they need to be rare, so that they don't get annoying.

    Unrelated, but Resident Evil Resistance has a great sound track. I listen to Birkin and Mr. X's themes all the time. It sucks that the sound track is pretty much the only good thing about Resistance.

    The music for when it's time to escape is so tense, and I wish DbD had more music like that

    Yeah, I really like the killer related tracks and menu music for dbd, but I wish some of the other tracks were a bit better.
