Recent killers all unpleasant and unpopular?
Out of the last 5 killers, personally, I'm only seeing one or two pop up when I play survivor, Pyramid head and oni. In fact, to this day, I still have yet to play against the twins in a public match, (one friend wanted to try them out in a custom game) and never have played as them. And personally, out of those 5, there's only one I find even playable (who happens to be one of my favorites), again, pyramid head.
I'm curious about other perspectives, I'm in the red ranks for both killer and survivor, and maybe it's different in other ranks. And I'm curious what you all think. I personally really dislike the last 5 killers, minus pyramid head, both playing as them and against them (minus twins, as I haven't played them, but I also really don't want to try).
As far as reasons, for all 4, of course, it comes down to their power. Playing as oni and blight, it comes down to the movement. I'm not a huge fan of billy either, but I can tolerate playing as him and doing his challenges. Blight, it simply feels like I'm never in control, bouncing off things I barely even see until it's too late, or weird geometries that billy would have slid off of, or sliding against something I'm trying to bounce off of, namely long pieces of wall/hills etc. Oni, I can't really put my finger on it. I just don't enjoy it. I would rather simply play both of them as purely M1 killers, and never touch their powers, if it wasn't for the blight challenges (which I'm really disliking trying) or the dailies.
Playing as and against deathslinger, it comes down to the fact that his power is all or nothing. Either it's overbearing, and the kills go extremely easily, or no shots land, and it goes entirely to the survivors. And since he's slower, M1 is much less of an option.
Playing against oni, his power is usually simply overbearing, since he either can charge you like billy, or M1 you to instantly down you, even if he misses a dash (and takes that recovery).
Playing against blight is just... unpleasant overall. Or you can simply go to a building and wait for him to give up. I don't often quit, but you can bet I did when I first tried to do his challenge, and I got the doctor's map.
And twins... I don't want to play as them because they are just... strange, and there's more there than I would like to try to learn. And I really can't comment on playing against them as one custom game where I pretty much evaded the killer the entire time isn't much to judge it on.
I'm very curious to see what other people think. I dislike them, but maybe they're others favorites?

I actually really enjoy most of the newer killers, my exception being Deathslinger because I can't aim worth a damn.
I hate billy, but love Oni. He's fun to play as and against imo, especially since he can't just keep holding that power up your butt.
Pyramid Head is fun and can be pretty strong.
Twins just have a different play style, sure you can just camp or play barely using victor, but you honestly should be using him to scout and occasionally hunt. They might become my 3rd main.
Blight is an interesting one, I think he is really a good killer. However, getting hits can be hard with minimal practice. His mobility is pretty great for the most part. Thing with him is he's like one of the killers you need to stick with. Play blight and only blight for awhile to get used to it, and get scary good.

At one point i was a ph main, before i realised his gameplay had no variation or high level of skill to it, you hit a skill cap with his power and then your skill with him rises as you get more skilled in chases generally.
I've played Oni a few times, I like him but I only really enjoy the bloody glove anti heal build because its OP but fun asf! His power is collecting a ton of blood for what is essentially a louder bass boosted hillbilly!
I really enjoy Twins and they have a negative reputation for the amount of slugging they can do! They have a lot of other uses though and generally a lot of people use them inoptimally, Victor's main utility is to end chases not go halfway across the map to injure someone who'll be healed by the time charlotte gets there, he's also probably the best totem defense in the game (a devour hope build is amazing on Twins)!
I'm yet to play Deathslinger but my opinions on being against him vary on the type of player, someone who's good but doesn't camp or tunnel, fun like most other killers, but the moment a deathslinger is scummy the game just becomes really unfun for the person subject to the scummyness!
Blight is currently on fast track to become my new main over Trapper, he's incredibly fun and his power has an extremely high skill cap that requires prediction, foresight as well as being fast paced and just really damn fun!

The twins are buggier then a ant hill and people who play them tend to end up getting stuck in one spot or when they finally work fight a SWF who is just gonna punt Victor into the air. In theory they should be fun..in partice..Basically they get murder faster by SWF then most killers..When someone called The twins "A killer made by/for survivors" they where not joking.
The blight is fun in his own way, but you gotta learn how to pinball him proper..I usually miss It..But,I can see If someone has good aim they could be downright dreadful to face vs him..Also, Dragon's grip is greatly underated..I know people love undying..But I got more use out of dragon's grip.
PH suffers from getting a tad overnerf..He has a fun mechinic..But the problem is..People are gonna activity avoid and some maps just make his skills a joke..His sword blast thing I think should be longer without needing add-ons because It honestly feels too easy to dodge in some areas/maps.
Oni is fun..I like the Oni. Oni actually has a few items which change how you can play him (The bloodorb sight is the bees knees)..Only thing is one console everyone can power dodge my slam..even when it is homing most the times.

I see blights, PH, and Oni all a pretty decent amount of the time
Deathslingers are rare but I hate playing against him so I'm kind of glad that's the case. He's unfun to go against, even if he's fun to play.
Twins is a total failure though that's for sure. They need to seriously reconsider some aspects of this killer. They somehow managed to create a weak killer who is both unfun to play and to play against.
PH is kind of middle ground to me, not particularly impressive, but I don't dislike him either.
I enjoy playing against oni as well. He's got a pretty unique power that creates interesting counterplay. Normally as survivor you want to be greedy/risky at first to try and make big plays/save resources. Oni is the opposite, You want to be safe early on and go for the risky plays after you're already injured to deny blood as much as possible.
Totally disagree with you about blight though. Blight is the best designed killer in the game. He's fun to play, fun to play against, and is very strong.

Oni I really enjoy facing. His power feels unique in the chase and usually the better player will come out on top. I struggle playing him however as his turning feels clunky when turning on console, and you're much easier faked than a PC player would be. I see Onis often which I'm glad about.
Slinger is not that fun to face. His power is unpredictable and takes a great reaction time to avoid his power, or constantly shaking which if the killer doesn't shoot then you've lost so much distance. Playing him is enjoyable, and he feels like an easier, but weaker Huntress. They're a bit rare to face, and even when I do they're quick games due to him being easily gen rushed.
Pyramid Head really depends on the player. If they tunnel and focus you with their cages then its extremely boring and the game is usually a quick one. If they play fair and use their punishment of the damned well, it's an enjoyable one. I also find Pyramid Head extremely fun to play as, his power feels extremely unique and although its bit clunky on console it's fun and still strong. I don't see PHs to often which I'm glad about due to more of then playing a toxic playstyle.
Blight games are always fun ones in the chase, although the perks are almost always the same. BBQ, Ruindying and Tinkerer. The games are usually long with the better player(s) winning. His chase power on some loops is one of the best in the game. Unfortunately he is practically unplayable on console. Not only is turning extremely odd and feels wierd to use, but he feels too short, a complaint many have for this killer. This is probably why he has such a low pick rate which dissapoints me due to him being extremely fun to face.
Finally Twins. I hate facing them and I haven't even bought them. Their play styles revolves around camping, using Victor after hooking a survivor and then when the survivor is unhooked going back to Charlotte and slugging the unhooked survivor because BT wouldn't kick in. I haven't bought this chapter myself and I don't have plans to soon. I'm glad seeing this killer is extremely rare as I hate facing the duo which I felt had so much potential.

Oni Is a good killer to me but I still haven't mastered his power as I hardly play him. He's a good tracker.
DS Is really fun to play because there is nothing better than forcing survivors to do what you want when in chase and not what they want.
PH is a killer I like but he needs a buff to his cage and other slight buffs.
Blight I hate as every time I use them all I get is SWF sweaty lobbies. I don't physically have the time to even get used to them. So I don't play them. I might give them a try after this new update is here.
Twins, have 0 gen pressure. It's fun to scream " don't yeet me " down the mic but that's about it. I won't play them because it isn't worth losing matches with them. They really need a massive buff. Survivors should not be able to run around with Viktor on them, it should down them.

i'm not exacly disagreeing but the thing you're more likely to see a licensed killer than a free one because right now a lot of people are grinding to get the twins, not to mention some (myself included) refuse to play a character below level 15.

Honestly I'd say the twins are the only bad egg in the group very week unless you go for a slug build and even then it's easily countered with perks or survivors sticking together to kick victor after he takes the other one down.
Deathslinger is very good in the right hands if you're a master at cod or any shooter you can be sure to do well. He does suffer with map pressure however.
Pyramid head is very powerful and negates ds unbreakable making him one of the top killers.
Oni is very good has a great power and is really strong with some practice, fun to play as and go against. I haven't seen to much of him lately for some reason but I usually have a fun match going against him win or lose.
Blight is decent but falls sort of middle of the pack compared to most killers, however in the right hands he definitely has potential to do very well.
I think they've done well with the last bunch all there powers are different and fun to use. Even twins has a great concept but is just poorly executed.
