Idea: Return of the Moon Offerings
Someone had posted an idea for a werewolf-style killer, and I've had that idea before as well, where the werewolf's power would be adjusted based on whatever moon phase it is (with new moon having them be very devious and full moon having them be very brutal, with each phase being mix-and-match), but that's not what this topic is about.
This idea is to bring back the moonlight offerings, which would require several changes that would provide a benefit and a cost for the killers depending on which offering is selected (benefit should equal cost through all offerings). Only killers would have access to the moonlight offerings, so they can decide to weigh in the pros and cons of what they select. Killers would have built-in sight abilities akin to the original Lightborn and Shadowborn perks with stack-able effects (or can be used to counter the weaknesses). Killers would be able to better discern survivors similar to how Freddy can see them in the Dream World (with outlines, with darker maps showing white outlines, and lighter maps showing black outlines). Freddy would be the only killer immune to the effects of the moonlight offerings, and therefore would not benefit from it (except to make the survivors wander about trying to find their objectives).
- New Moon Bouquet - 70% darker (same rarity); -20% blind resistance, -20% blind recovery, +6 degree FOV increase, brightest outlines.
- Crescent Moon Bouquet - 35% darker (uncommon to very rare); -10% blind resistance, -10% blind recovery, +3 degree FOV increase, brighter outlines.
- Quarter Moon Bouquet - 35% brighter (uncommon to very rare); +10% blind resistance, +10% blind recovery, -3 degree FOV increase, darker outlines.
- Full Moon Bouquet - 70% brighter (very rare to ultra rare); +20% blind resistance, +20% blind recovery, -6 degree FOV increase, darkest outlines.
If anyone has any suggestions to make these more balanced, feel free to suggest them. Survivors would still be subjected to the darkness/brightness, so in darkest night, survivors might have a hard time seeing, and may require them to have a flashlight in order to see. Perhaps darker maps would increase the chances of finding a flashlight in a chest, and brighter maps would decrease the chances of finding a flashlight in a chest (where flashlights would be more situational based on the moon phase).

And yes I do the same as survivor because it is annoying to run into walls if you cant see them^^2
