Keys / Hatch

I have a hatch idea where surv (either w or w/o key) starts a timer for the hatch to open by using a box or whatever in a certain location (random or otherwise) on the map which then starts a countdown to the hatch opening (e.g. 30s) which ONLY the survivor who started it AND the killer see. When the counter hits zero the hatch THEN spawns and is immediately open. If the killer finds it first, he/she can close it as things are now but the key has already been consumed at the box so it is no longer re-openable in normal play.

Could maybe sort out the key issue AND EGC - when only one remaining survivor the box starts EGC as well, whether the killer uses it (box) or the survivor, and once it is started then it gives the option to do doors or wait for hatch to appear/spawn.

This way nobody knows where the hatch is prior to it spawning after the countdown, keys get consumed at the box (when 2+ survivors remain the key starts said countdown early), and the killer has to decide on whether to look for hatch or patrol the exits, less chance of a gimme for a Nurse or Spirit etc and gives a SLIGHT chance against Whispers (two exits close together, gg.)

Thoughts? Tweaks? Interested in other ideas but I think this is better than things are currently.
