Calm Spirit making killer instinct "Pulse" slower
I think a great improvement to calm spirit would be to reduce Killer Instinct's/heart beat detection or in other words it should pulse slower or not update the position as fast. I think it fits with the flavor of perk quite nicely with having a slower heart beat making it less detectable, and It would still make the perk situational(which it should be) but it would create a lot of fun minor interactions with Legion, Ghost face, Demo, P Head and the Twins. Currently, there are no survivor perks that interact with Killer instinct and I think this would be a fun change instead of having two separate perks.

I like the idea, I mean as you said, no perks interact with killer instinct as of yet, and Calm Spirit is already such a niche perk, why not give it a little boost with that extra feature rather than make it an entirely new perk.

Calm spirit is a great stealth perk at any rank. It's golden against a doctor as it disables his static blast as he can't find you, also counters infectious fright if you want to be nearby for unhooking. It's great at what it does and killer instinct is an issue for any stealthy player since your location gets shown and you have no say in the matter since no perks works against it and it triggers off of any power hits.
Crouching while having calm spirit equipped could counter killer instinct alternatively. Lowers your mobility in return for not showing up on killer instinct which is only on 2 killers so far so it's not exactly the new META must have build. Plus if you get caught off guard, the first pulse will happen so unless you're gonna crouch walk the entire match, there's still a good chance of getting shown on KI.

I can already imagine people running that + Iron Will + Urban Evasion + Self Care and just urban evading across the map not to get found, and being totally useless to the rest of their team.
But yeah, it would help counter a few more killers than the current Calm Spirit does (so if it helps counter 4-5 killers total, I mean that's nearly a quarter of them, so that's not half bad, even if they're not the most popular ones)

uh..
Yeah this, honestly I like the crouching Idea but yeah it would only reinforce bad habits. That's why I think it should just make the pulse take longer in between updates, so you have to move. Like in a scenario with legion since the crows don't fly away, and he can't see scratch marks it makes the interaction a lot more tricky when pathing in a loop or in corn. If Victor on twins is sitting in a corner, and you're passing through it might make the killer second guess your pathing or location. Ghost face would have a harder time knowing who broke him out of stalking, Demo with his active portal etc. In all of those scenarios you have to interact the way the game is intended it only makes killer instinct more ambiguous or mindgame-able.

I think the issue is that Killer Instinct isn't widespread enough for that to be useful.
The only killer who uses Killer Instinct to track is Legion, and having a perk that only affects one killer is far too circumstantial. Everyone else who has Killer Instinct uses it more as an alert then anything, which this wouldn't really affect.

We are talking about calm spirit here, arguably one of the most circumstantial perks in the game. I wasn't really attempting to make CS meta, I use CS on my main ace and I really do enjoy using it the crow part alone has saved me a ton of times. I've just had the thought recently that if calm spirit doesn't alarm crows or forces screams then the heart beat from killer instinct should be normal as well, it just fits the flavor of the perk. Also, no perks affect killer instinct making CS the only survivor perk to affect crows, screams and killer instinct heart beat making it a less niche of a perk.

If a survivor wants to be a waste of space they will be one and there's nothing anyone else can do about it. Plus, the build you set up doesn't block auras from stuff like Bitter Murmur or BBQ and a few others.
It will just disable the killer's power when it comes to locating survivors on Legion and Twins. Which sounds bad, but it already disables doctor in it's current state.
And if it would still become an issue then match timers might be a good follow up suggestion.

Bitter Murmur won't be an issue because they won't be working on generators, and neither will barbecue because they'll find a locker to hide into, DUH
Was just saying, if they give that perk a boost, that's the kind of people who'll use it the most "ohh a perk that makes the killer find me even less, totally using that!"
