New HUD Is Alright, But Sub-Par
I can't really believe that the new HUD will "go live largely unchanged". This is baffling as vast majority of people who compare the old and new UI see that the new UI adds new, useful information but spreads crucial information out sloppily. Concise, simple UI has been the trend in graphic design for over a decade because that is what is most aesthetically pleasing and effective.
The new UI feels wrong to approximately 80-90% of people not just because of some idea that they don't like it just because it is new, it has objective design flaws in it.
Inconcise: The new UI is not concise in that information that could previously be discerned from a quick glance at a single spot has now been spread across every edge of the screen. Why were the UI elements moved when the new elements could have easily been implemented into the old UI?
Too Complicated: The new UI for survivor is actually very helpful due to the new hook counters, and survivors need to keep track of less things, however for Killer the new UI is much more complicated. The new hook counter isn't useful and further complicates the screen. Knowing how many times you have hooked each survivor isn't a skill, it's a UI oversight. Include small hook counters for killers. Why should killers have to memorise hook states but survivors don't have to?
Too Small: It is really difficult to see the different statuses of survivors. I don't know how they will fix the colourblind issue, all we can do is take their word that this UI which is so incredibly badly designed I can only call it ableist will somehow be "largely unchanged" yet have its' issues fixed. I am colourblind and I cannot tell when a survivor is injured, and seeing little things like the broken status effect is a nauseating eye-strain. This UI cannot possibly be released "largely unchanged" and still fix the colourblind issue because it would need some kind of serious change.

I played one game and uninstalled afterwards because the UI combined with the new animations were just so jarring. When I want information, I wanna get my information from one simple/concise location, not roll my eyes around the entire screen while I'm in a chase. I appreciate the extra info from the update, but come on, I can't believe this got greenlit even AFTER the PTB.
